Marilyn McCoo was a real hottie!
I was not familiar with this version though.
The one by The Association gets all of the radio airplay.

The one by The Association gets all of the radio airplay. The Associations' version was the first recorded for this song. Numerous covers of the song were done over the years, with the 5th Dimensions' cover the highest rated version outside of The Associations.

Marilyn McCoo was a real hottie! I think that deserves some further investigation.
And you are correct.

When I was a young lad, I thought Marilyn McCoo was the most beautiful woman in the world.

Some cable station had a 60’s special on the other day, and they played a video of the Association doing this song live.

Marilyn was one of my TV crushes back in 1982 when she hosted Solid Gold. Loved watching that show from about 1982 to about 1984-85 (when 80s pop music began to go downhill IMHO).
