Name the most BORING Movie You Ever Saw
Self | October 1, 2016 | PJ-Comix

A few days ago I watched the 2015 movie, "Steve Jobs" on the Tube. One word description: BORING!!! Despite great material to work with, it was one big borefest. Aaron Sorkin's scipt was largely to blame. It didn't feel like real people involved talking. It came off as a platform for SorkinSpeak. You can always tell a movie he has written. It has his peculiar SorkinSpeak which consists of rapid fire chit chat signifying nothing.

Okay, that is my idea of the most boring movie that I have ever seen. What is yours? Remember, this doesn't mean WORST movie, only most BORING movie.

Grizzlies Man, the documentary about the guy that lived with bears . What a jerk. This guy thought he was smart about bears and got himself and his girl friend eaten by one. He was supposed to be alone but had his girl friend with him. He had no clue what he was doing and ended up bear food. It was painful to watch stupidity and ignorance collid

“Surf Nazis” may be awful (which it is)...but it’s hardly “boring”!

“Beyond” - a guy is wandering around with his girlfriend and isn’t sure what is going on despite an alien invasion and/or meteor about to hit the Earth
spoiler alert: he was in a coma and wakes up to find out the meteor didn’t kill everyone

There are a number of B movies with something similar, where it may be the end of the world or it may be the delusion of someone in a coma / sick / shot. In one, it looked like the girl was the last woman on Earth and a stranger shows up ... until the ending suggests she’s really just fighting for her life as she bleeds out in an abandoned alley.

I was checking to see if anyone had named Ishtar...has to be the worst movie I’ve ever seen. (especially considering the fact it had a decent cast.)

“Waterworld”

“I saw that by accident and found the only relief from tedium was when Dennis Hopper was atrociously hamming it up.”

I dunno, Jeanne Triplehorn naked was a plus in my book.

“Dune. What horrible movie.”

Oh gosh! I agree! It looks like they ran out of money a third of the way through! I was very disappointed, as I enjoyed the book. My imagination was way mo better than the movie!

Years ago I imagined what the conversation with Connery must have been like. I thought maybe it went this way:

Agent: “Hey, Sean, I’ve got a part for you! They are making a Highlander 2!”

Connery: “My character died. How would that work? Show me a script-”

Agent: “They want to pay you this much!”

(Slides some paper across the table. Connery’s eyes bug out a bit.)

Connery: “For that much I’d go along with some ‘we were all aliens’ schlock and let you call me Nancy. Now about how they propose to bring back my character...”

Agent: “Well, Nancy, it’s funny you’d ask that....”

If you haven't seen "Steve Jobs," save a couple of hours of your life by skipping it. One big YawnFest.

You know, about a week ago I watched "Steve Jobs" on HBO at about 1:00AM during a bout of insomnia. It's not the type of movie I'd have ever paid to see at the theater and, honestly, I knew little about Steve Jobs going in other than he was "the Apple guy". So I certainly can't speak about how accurate it is. Maybe it was because I had no expectations going in, but while I wouldn't say it was my favorite movie by any stretch, I did find it held my attention enough that I watched the entire thing (which in itself is rare for me). I thought it was an interesting concept how they used the series of "major product launches" from 1980 to 2000 to show the various stages of Jobs life, using flashbacks to fill in the missing details, and Michael Fassbender was pretty good as well.

Chinese movie “The Assassin” (2015). No plot, you couldn’t figure out who the characters were and who was on whose side. Still shots that went on forever—could have had about an hour edited out of it.

When we went, people were literally falling asleep. You could hear snoring in the audience, and another guy dropped his drink and you could hear it hit and spill.

What’s worst, this was supposed to be a martial arts movie!
