So at my son's NFL sanctioned flag-football game today, no National Anthem. A moment of silence. For what? The death of our country?

In my home there is no watching of football and no purchasing of products by NFL sponsors until they cut this crap out and honor America.Another week I can procrastinate getting cable back - pay money to bring that garbage into my home, because we need to have this discussion - uh no thanks.
I'll be in the garage drinking beer building stuff and making America a little less of mediocre, mediocre country

Could be he heard someone was going to sit or kneel, so he decided not to play it at all so that it wouldn’t be disrespected.
I can see that.
The NFL doesn’t deserve the lives that have been spent under that flag and that anthem. They don’t deserve having the anthem played or the flag flown.
They are men without a country.

Largely because the agitators and race-baiters are unemployed and paid by Soros et. al. Europeans other than white trash who buy into the hustle, are hardworking people with jobs, mortgages etc. They have everything to lose.So the best way is to vote and use our economic leverage such as not going or watching NFL games. Not buying certain products or going to certain stores.

Copy of my rant (sorry about the formatting) sent to my email contacts with a much better written rant: I call for a full boycott of the NFL and all their sponsors, but then, I NEVER watch NFL except for the Superbowl, which I now can forgo, and I don't drink beer, and I don't buy Progressive Insurance, and I'm not supposed to eat Doritos. I don't buy new motor vehicles...I wish there was something I consume that would make an economic impact. And this is the same NFL that would not sell advertising time to a firearms company at the last Superbowl. I concur with the good Colonel; time to change the channel America. MIKE < To the NFL commissioner Commissioner, I've been a season pass holder at Yankee Stadium, Yale Bowl and Giants Stadium. I missed the '90-'91 season because I was with a battalion of Marines in Desert Storm. 14 of my wonderful Marines returned home with the American Flag draped across their lifeless bodies. My last conversation with one of them, Sgt Garrett Mongrella, was about how our Giants were going to the Super Bowl. He never got to see it. Many friends, Marines, and Special Forces Soldiers who worked with or for me through the years returned home with the American Flag draped over their coffins. Now I watch multi-millionaire athletes who never did anything in their lives but play a game, disrespect what brave Americans fought and died for. They are essentially spitting in the faces and on the graves of real men, men who have actually done something for this country beside playing with a ball and believing they're something special! They're not! My Marines and Soldiers were! You are complicit in this! You'll fine players for large and small infractions but you lack the moral courage and respect for our nation and the fallen to put an immediate stop to this. Yes, I know, it's their 1st Amendment right to behave in such a despicable manner. What would happen if they came out and disrespected you or the refs publicly? I observed a player getting a personal foul for twerking in the end zone after scoring. I guess that's much worse than disrespecting the flag and our National Anthem. Hmmmmm, isn't it his 1st Amendment right to express himself like an idiot in the end zone? Why is taunting not allowed yet taunting America is OK? You fine players for wearing 9-11 commemorative shoes yet you allow scum on the sidelines to sit, kneel or pump their pathetic fist in the air. They are so deprived with their multi-million dollar contracts for playing a freaking game! You condone it all by your refusal to act. You're just as bad and disgusting as they are. I hope Americans boycott any sponsor who supports that rabble you call the NFL. I hope they turn off the TV when any team that allowed this disrespect to occur, without consequence, on the sidelines. I applaud those who have not. Legends and heroes do NOT wear shoulder pads. They wear body armor and carry rifles. They make minimum wage and spend months and years away from their families. They don't do it for an hour on Sunday. They do it 24/7 often with lead, not footballs, coming in their direction. They watch their brothers carted off in pieces not on a gurney to get their knee iced. They don't even have ice! Many don't have legs or arms. Some wear blue and risk their lives daily on the streets of America. They wear fire helmets and go upstairs into the fire rather than down to safety. On 9-11, hundreds vanished. They are the heroes. I hope that your high paid protesting pretty boys and you look in that mirror when you shave tomorrow and see what you really are, legends in your own minds. You need to hit the road and take those worms with you! Time to change the channel. Col Jeffrey A Powers USMC-(ret)

Upset?
How many walked out w/ kids in tow?
Anyone paid to ask a refund?
How many kids walked off the field in opposition to the snub?
The trial balloon was floated, seeing what comes about the ‘new normal’.

At my daughters private school the anthem is sung a cappella by a lovely African American young lady before every game. She sings it so beautifully.

Then i’m a white trash mother ####er because from what even seen, your gentlemanly ways of handling things have gotten SH## done for damn near 30 years.
Those who are terrified of losing anything, lose everything frequently.
The house and the car and the TV and even the job, they ain’t everything.
Freedom is everything.
Too many on all boards forget that.

The parents couldn’t have been that upset if they didn’t walk out onto the 50 yard line and announce to the coach and everyone why they were taking their kid home. Oh, no, can’t embarrass the kid and the game must go on mentality. Just keep quiet and let someone else fight the good fight.
Our last kiddo graduated from public HS in 2010. Everyone, including the large number of illegals, many Iranians and half dozen blacks, stood and sang the anthem as the boy scouts raised the flag at football games. That was followed the band playing Amazing Grace. That was only 6 years ago but who knows if they’re allowed to do any of that today.

This was the first game of the season and no one expected it. I will post a follow up when more is known.

That’s because very few comparatively have gotten on board. A wholesale financial moratorium from the NFL, season ticket holders, viewers, buyers, etc would destroy the league. Lots of people will not put their money where their mouths are.Plus there’s still a lot of delusional Democrats out there.

I skipped the WHOLE first week!! I live for the jets, it’s one of the few things i have!!! :) only other sport i like is boxing.
But NO going to games this year, and I will miss two jet games cause they play the dolphins twice and the dolphins kneel.
I WILL NOT watch a game where any kneeling or black power signs are shown.
NO hats, no trinkets, nothing bought.
I’ll watch my 14 jets games, minus the two dolphin ones and possibly others. and that’s it.
Thats down from 8 a week last year.
Forgive me for being rough around the edges.
You are classy enough to know how to talk to someone like me and you are in charge of your emotions enough to give a strong, educated response.
I envy you :)

Love your fire on this. After years of watching and buying NFL ticket, Redzone, etc. I’m done with Roger Badhell and his league. Not one cent nor watching any games. My small part.
