U.S. District Judge Anna J. Brown on Thursday threatened to hold Ammon Bundy's lawyer in contempt of court each time he defies her order and tries to delve into the circumstances surrounding the officer-involved shooting of refuge occupation spokesman Robert "LaVoy" Finicum during trial.
The judge told attorney Marcus Mumford that she'd fined him $1,000 each time he raised the issue in front of jurors.....
"I have ruled on this issue and it appears to me you disregard it," Brown told Mumford after excusing the jury for a morning restroom break.
"Do you understand what I'm saying...yes or no?" the judge asked Mumford as he was about to explain.....
The judge pointed to Mumford's questioning of rancher Andy Dunbar, whose property is adjacent to the eastern Oregon refuge.....
He testified that he heard shooting by the refuge boat launch on six different days. The launch is a little over a mile from the Dunbar Ranch, he said.
"You could definitely hear the shots being fired," he said.
Asked if there were a few gunshots, Dunbar said no, that there were "lots, lots and lots."....
"It's not simply the presence of the firearms. It's the use of firearms on the refuge, during the conspiracy. It could not be more relevant," (Assistant U.S. Attorney Ethan) Knight said.....
Further testimony revealed that Dunbar and his 26-year-old-son, Tucker Dunbar, each were paid $2,000 by the FBI for access to their properties. The son lives across the street from his father.
Mumford introduced the FBI receipt into evidence....
Asked if that amount is a large amount of money for him, Dunbar said it was a "significant" amount. "I told them I didn't want it," Dunbar said.
"Did you give it back?" Mumford asked.
"No," Dunbar said.......

Black-robed tyranny....the defendants have been accused of 'sedition' in this forum. Perhaps the real seditionists in this country sit in courtrooms and have the title 'judge' and perhaps the real seditionists in this country wear clothing saying "FBI or DHS or ATF" etc. etc.
Also, we saw the prosecution dramatizing the use of firearms for target practice at the refuge.
And we found out that a government witness being used to help with the demonization of firearms use and his son were paid money by the FBI.
Much the same happened in the Federal trial of those involved in the Waco incident. The Judge kept out much relevant to insure the defendants would be convicted of excessive charges.
Horrible what our government has become. People want to ignore it...that is how evil grows.

Yep - the judge has the “script” and refuses to allow potentially relevant facts to get in the way.

I have never fired lots and lots of gunshots in a day - ammo is expensive and I don't approve of waste. I only fire a few times each day, typically 100-200 shots, depending on what I am working on.

It is no longer “our” government. It is an enemy occupation force. The carpet baggers treated the Southerners more fairly during post Civil War reconstruction.

Our home-grown Communists are secular progressives and/or evolutionary atheists who have persuaded us to believe that they are "enlightened" and have our best interests in mind even as they undermine and destroy the foundations of our civilization, sow seeds of hate and division, and open our borders to floods of illegals and jihadis. IMO, the harassment and subsequent murder of Voy Finicum and 'legalistic' lynching of the Amons. Bundy's, etc. is a furtherance of the sinister goals of progressivism.
What are they charged with that is officially being tried at this particular trial?
