If that hit on quarterback Tony Romos back looked bad, theres a good reason for it. It was bad.
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Romo is expected to miss 6-10 weeks with a broken bone in his back. The team will be announcing the injury; its unclear whether the team will put a duration on the absence.

Somebody got a Gomer Pyle shot over here?
I didn’t remember that but I think so.
Romo is done He could retire and open a steakhouse.
He will be well done then......
That’s hilarious.
I still have a good working knowledge of gutter- Deutsch, picked up years ago, working undercover customs on the back streets of Frankfort and the Mainz shipping docks.
I doubt that few will get it.
” Tony Romo to miss 6-10 weeks with broken bone in back”
Week 6, Oct. 16 - Cowboys at Green Bay Packers
The word you're looking for, that others have not provided, is "Schadenfruede" - meaning deriving pleasure from someone else's misfortune, and you have to be a really sick creep to feel that for Romo and the Cowboys.
I don't know how I became that sick. {;^)
He did.
He was wearing a Truss on the field. That should tell you he’s done.
“Prescott ready to step in as Brady did for Bledsoe.”
And if fortune smiles on the ‘boys this season, Prescott will become another Tom Brady.
Iirc, when Cowboy Bledsoe got injured, and Romo took over, Romo threw an interception on his first play. But he did okay after that.
RIP Romo...
Let the Dak Prescott era begin.
I think Prescott is the real deal. Yes it’s pre-season, but he looks like he could be a good one.
I agree, Prescott looks good.
It seems like this happens to him every other year or so.
Real hard and folded on the tail one
Dallas fans (and I am one) can fantasize all they want that Romo will be back, that it's just a minor setback... etc. But the reality is he's broken his collar bone and now his back. Sorry folks, you don't come back from those kinds of injuries.
No matter how much "spin/lies" Dallas propagates the fact is once you have broken your back you are never able to come back to anywhere near what you were prior to the injury, never.
Your in nearly constant, excruciating, pain which can only be masked by heavy pain meds. Your physical mobility is greatly impaired and no amount of drugs, "physical therapy" or surgery can ever restore Romo, or anyone else for that matter to the point where you are fully capable of playing pro NFL football.
Regretfully Tony Romo's broken body is too fragile for the game. It's a clear cut case of "Humpty Dumpty" syndrome: "All the king's horses and all the king's men....".
If Romo or Dallas refuse to face reality, try to patch him up and send him back into the game, at this point he could end up a paraplegic or quadraplegic. It is simply too dangerous and risky.
The good news, is that Dak Prescott has a good offensive line and a lot of offensive weapons at his disposal, it’s the perfect situation to get started on what hopefully will be a stellar NFL career.
For the Cowboys this year, it’s not about wins and losses, but getting arguably, what might be the greatest QB draft steal since Tom Brady, off and running.
They need ...... Kaepernick!!!
