Set aside some time for this. There were a LOT of jokes.

Stop calling me Surely.
Roger, Rogser...what’s your vector, Victor....?
LOL
You’re right!
I thought that was one of the funniest scenes in the movie. There was a huge laugh from the audience when it came on in the theater. Of course, back then this audience was the Leave it to Beaver generation and recognized Mrs. Clever immediately.
She did a great job with the jive!
I meant Mrs. Cleaver.
They get a FAIL.
They left out some of my most endearing part of the movie. During the interludes between all the funny stuff they would jump to a external shot of the plane flying in the night sky, and its clearly a modern jumbo jet, but the noise is from a multi engine prop driven plane. Then change scenes and tell another joke.
There are 2 kinds of people in this world. Those who think Airplane is funny and those who don’t. I married a “don’t” . ... sigh...
These are the good old days. Enjoy while it lasts.

Kramer: Get that finger out of your ear! You dont know where that fingers been!
118. Elaine re-inflates the autopilot.
#118? No way! That has to be in the top 10.
“I speak jive” should easily be in the top 10.
It would be interesting to have a group of people over 50 do a similar rating. I’ll bet the answers would be way different.
I think I’d have put the Kareem jokes and the “grown man naked” stuff first.
Funniest laugh out loud movie ever made.
Agree.
Great idea.
It seems the young people who rated the jokes didn’t know who Howard Jarvis was.
That’s right. The funniest thing was this running joke.
... after careful contemplation!
Funny: I went with my brother and a friend to see this movie when it was new and in the theater. We laughed non stop through the whole thing. When we walked out, we all said, that was a dumb movie. It took multiple viewings To truly appreciate it.
I only saw the doctor between the legs of the woman with the speculum in his hand on the plane after seeing the movie 4 or 5 times.
Good stuff.lots of memories laughing.
“WZAZ in Chicago where Disco Lives Forever!”
Reportedly, Nielsen was always deadpan-joking around on every set he was ever on. Finally, somebody got the brilliant idea of putting it on camera.
