The Trump Teleprompter (vanity/opinion)

How many times has 0 been ridiculed for using a teleprompter in his speeches. The answer is probable in the range of thousands of times but he is very, very good at fakery as are the ALL the media anchors. They are professional, often misleading, readers.

So it brings to question, why has Trump been advised to use them and by whom when it is patently obvious he just isn't good at it?

The 'whom' should be looked at closely because the 'whom' and 'whomevers' has seen what a disaster those speeches are like and still keeps recommending he stay the course.

Whomever has advised Trump to continue this charade should not be just moved to another position within his campaign but fired immediately.

Why do you think the media anchors and people as Carl Rove have stated that NOW Trump is doing the right thing when using teleprompters to 'stay on point and stay focused'? Well, it's not to give him kudos and a big congratulatory slap on the back but that they are, behind his back, smirking at him for being clueless of their agenda.

A Fox News Bimbette just yesterday was quizzing Trump about the upcoming debates with Clinton, 'Well Mr. Trump, how well do you think you will do at the debates without a teleprompter'?

This is starting to spread throughout the Fox Network and other networks who you can expect this kind of devious undermining but we all know that the Fox Network is 'fair and balanced'....right? Just watch when they mention Trump and teleprompters in the same sentence and you'll see they attach a little smirk or smile as an act to ridicule and demean him.

And that is just the opening salvo to ridicule Trump and is only going to continue and build if Trump doesn't take back full control of his campaign and go back to the powerful agenda and speeches that got him where is today.

As always, just my opinion.

I didn’t notice TRUMP was using a teleprompter. I was listening to his powerful message.

It’s too close to election time for any more major off-the-cuff gaffes. The teleprompter’s time has come.

I’m sure his “professional” consultants have strongly recommended that Trump use a teleprompter so that he remains on message and minimizes the use of off-the-cuff remarks that get blown into death threats.

Even when he is reading a teleprompter he still interjects off-the-cuff remarks that are less than advantageous at times. You can tell when you listen to his speech and compare it to the released speech. It is word for word, except for an interjection here or there, and those are usually the ones that are used to make trouble. (”Or maybe you second amendment people could do something, I don’t know.”)

You're over-analyzing things. Trump is OK with a teleprompter, though obviously new to it.

Hillary sucks whether she uses a teleprompter or not.

I'm sure Trump won't be using a teleprompter all the time, but on select occasions, it will be fine...

Vote Trump!

Frankly, I’m sick of “concern” posts. “Good at it” and “charades” are a matter of perspective.

The issue of whether Trump could be weaned from the Teleprompter has already been shown and we all know it. He can speak for hours extemporaneously without the blubbering bullshit false-speak and blathering of an Obama “off teleprompter.” There isn’t any arguing about this.

So to be so “concerned” about how Trump as a candidate isn’t lickspittle polished as the “One” on his teleprompter game is highly disingenuous. Trump was specifically targeted for his extemporaneous ability and everybody and his damn brother in media said “we want substance, clear message and the meaning of life and everything.” Trump gives it to them, yet some “concern ninnies” still aren’t satisfied.

I’m just not buying this crap - not a bit.

I don’t think that the fact that Trump can use a teleprompter is a big deal. More importantly, he can speak coherently without one, unlike Ombama

Based on recent postings, it’s clear FR needs a new permanent category “PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY ARE SMARTER THAN TRUMP”

How about just leaving these details to the pros? If it works, that’s all that matters. If not, we’ll have much bigger things to bitch about.

The problem with Obama and the teleprompter is that he can ONLY perform well if he’s reading from one. Answering tough questions, or giving off-the-cuff remarks, are far from his strong suit. Oh, and of course there are the occasional “corpse man” gaffes.

WRT Trump, he’s better at off-the-cuff, better at the rough and tumble of a Q & A session. Sticking to a prepared speech is not HIS strong suit. But sometimes you need to do that.

I have no problem with the occasional use of a teleprompter - for major speeches. I don’t like to see someone talking to me while looking down, I want to be looked at in the eye. A teleprompter helps with that, a lot. I do, however, have a problem with someone using one ALL THE TIME, to the exclusion of any kind of normal, human interaction. The person doing that looks and sounds too much like a puppet on strings, no matter how well they deliver a speech (and O is VERY good at that - not much else, mind you, but he’s really good at delivering prepared speeches).

[The teleprompter’s time has come.]

IF that is the case and I don’t think it is, he should take a crash course on how to fluidly use the damn thing.

His last couple of speechs have been brilliant but for the visual of the ‘scripted’ element.

He only uses a teleprompter when he is delivering a major policy address. Perfectly normal and understandable as he needs to ensure he states the exact point and is not misquoted.

Before Obama walks off the world’s stage, I would just once like him to have an Anchorman type of teleprompter fail. But somebody has to hack the teleprompter.

Zero is no master of the teleprompter. One can tell very easily when he goes off script. Every other word is “Uh.”

I'm not opposed to Trump using a teleprompter. He used one last night and delivered one of the most masterful political speeches ever! I've also seen him at a rally where he spoke for 90 minutes with no notes at all. He was great then too.

I think when Trump is making a major policy speech, he should using a teleprompter and alter his delivery...just as he did in his last two speeches. When he's holding a campaign rally he can just let it fly, he's a master at that as well.

When you are giving a prepared speech, it would just be logical to have a teleprompter to help keep you on track.

What is important is what the speech ‘is’.

Trump’s speeches are about America and Americans.

Hillary’s speeches are about non-Americans and criminals.

Help me understand this. Trump gives one of the finest speeches I have ever heard and you are worried / upset he used a Teleprompter? REALLY?

Nor should we buy it! Trump is easily ten billion dollars smarter than I and even I can see that Trump has a literal army of observers that breathlessly analyze every word and phrase they can, in most cases, misrepresent. The more he takes the advice of the pundits who claim to long for “substance” the greater the chance they can paint him as mundane and boring. Just another round of sparing between enemies. The message is the medium has become the enemy. IMHO, that is how Trump got where he is. That is how he wins, if TPTB allow such a thing to happen.

When you are providing red meat at rallies, speaking in generalities that can be clarified later, “off the cuff” is fine for a man like Trump who is skilled at it, in his own way.

When giving detailed positions on foreign policy issues, and a misplaced diphthong can cause an international incident, it reflects well on Trump that he plays it safer and uses the teleprompter or written notes.
