The only female officer enrolled on the Marine infantry training course has dropped out.
The woman, who has not been identified, failed two conditional training hikes last month during the grueling course - meaning she could not make the final cut and be selected for a front line combat role.
It was her second attempt at the program, after failing for the first time in August, and was the only female in the group.
She will now be given a new position in the US Marines.

In total, 161 have died for their country.
For years, only about 7 per cent to 8 per cent of the Corps, which numbers 184,200, has been women. It's the smallest percentage of women among all the military services.
But on the heels of the Pentagon decision to allow women who qualify to serve in combat jobs, thousands of new infantry, armor and other front-line posts are now open.
Marine Commandant Gen. Robert Neller wants to increase the proportion of women in the Marines ton 10 percent.
They obviously are going to have to make that course a little easier for the wimmin. C’mon people, how about less hate to the weaker sex. (/s just in case)
From the article :
Unidentified woman failed , failed two conditional training hikes
She didn’t make the cut along with 33 of her male colleagues
It was her second attempt at the grueling program after failing in April
She will now be given a new position in the US Marines
American forces officials are trying to recruit more women into all roles
Navy Secretary Ray Mabus has said the standard of training will not be lowered so it is easier for certain groups to get in
Nobody loves women more than the Heterosupremacist, but women in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry? Uh, no. Sorry girls...
“It’s the smallest percentage of women among all the military services.”

Gotta up the AA quota!
Obviously the course is discriminatory and deliberately made difficult for females and must be made more woman-friendly in order to get a proper proportion of women on to the battlefield.
“He told Marines in April: ‘Let me repeat that: Standards will not be lowered for any group to get through.
‘Standards may be changed as circumstances in the world change, but they’ll be changed for everybody.’ “
Translation: He plans on lowering the standards for all so that women can get into the infantry.
Women don’t belong there. It’s depraved to deploy them.
but what if she’s feeling male today ?
Girl Power is Flower Power.
“She will now be given a new position in the US Marines. “
Oh my... lol
Second level translation: They’ll say it’s because Americans are too fat and they can’t find enough that can meet the requirements. There will be nothing about women.
Smart move on her part.
Its coming you can bet yer ass on that one
a new position
Laz your cue
#1. Women also died in WWI, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. To paraphrase Gen. George S. Patton, it isn’t the dying for your country that qualifies you to serve in the infantry, it’s the giving back.
#2. She didn’t “drop out,” she was expelled for failing to meet the standard. The lying lefties massaged the language to make it appear it was her decision. It was not.
#3. She failed to complete “conditioning training hikes” (not “conditional,” that’s a UK typo). The same hike, not once, but twice. Think about that for a moment. Having an infantryman who can’t hike is rather like have a ship that can’t float.
#4. This is the second time she’s failed the course. She is a re-cycle from an earlier failure.
#5. She isn’t the first woman to fail, she’s the 31st. The difference is, the other 30 all failed *after* the corps began admitting women to the Infantry Officer’s Course but *before* women were to be permitted to serve in the infantry. She is the first to fail who might have gone on to be an infantry officer.
Re : Post #16
Excellent post! I especially liked, “ #2. She didnt drop out, she was expelled for failing to meet the standard. The lying lefties massaged the language to make it appear it was her decision. It was not.”
I missed that; and so I am grateful for you post...
My SIL did two tours in Iraq in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry. He was 6’2” before he left for his first deployment. He is 6’ 0.5” now. Damage to his shoulders, neck, brain, knees, pancreas and back.
I was US Air Force. I was pushing 50 in Afghanistan. But the above shows what combat infantry can do to a good sized man in his prime. “Tough” doesn’t even begin to describe what it takes! I was a pretty fit 160 lbs for my age, but I couldn’t have lasted 2 days in the infantry.
When I was leaving, I was sweating and staggering under 140 lbs of equipment I deployed with. 100 lbs in a sack on my back. A young Army guy saw me staggering and asked if he could help. I wasn’t too proud to refuse. My bifocals had too much sweat for me to see anyways. The young guy picked up the 100 lb sack with one hand and walked with me to where I would meet the helicopter. Yeah, I was grateful.
Most people haven’t got a clue what is involved.
Time to reduce physical requirements.
I guess the Marines can always use someone who knows how to iron shirts.
