Sounds like the Rio Olympics has a bad case of manana, or the Portugese equivalent thereof.

I've been thinking. Rio already has problems with sanitary issues, general filth, sewage and water, public safety, disease from what we've read. How the heck can the city possibly handle the influx of people and the strain on basic services?
Unless what we read is exaggerated. If I were involved in the Olympics, I'd get in and out of there in as short an interval of time as possible.

Brazil is broke. That is their problem.
The United States is broke. This will be our problem.

Any complaints about the Olympics is racism, pure and simple. That White privilege reporter needs to shut his mouth and sing the praises of Diversity.

Nothing new here. There are always stories of oddly uncompleted venues or living quarters. What got me are the stories about turds and dead bodies floating by, and what it has taken just to clean some of the filth from the coastline.

.. with a hole in the wall gushing a stream of water for the shower .. In many parts of the world, that'd be luxurious !
