Sounds like a righteous dude from a much more robust generation. I’m all tapped out on sympathy for single mothers, myself. I figure you sleep in the bed you have made.
I can’t even begin to remember how many people my husband has helped, flat tires, overheating, accidents, cars on fire, out of gas, stuck in the mud or snow. A lot of people offered to pay but he never let them but we have gotten some really nice Thank You notes.

A woman and her small children in distress at night and that’s all that comes to your mind? Wow, that’s mighty Christian of you, I salute your charity.
If she had a husband who happened to be out of town that night you would have sympathy for her, but because her domestic circumstances aren’t as propitious as you feel they should be you have no sympathy for her.
As a kid I was taught a story about a fellow called the good Samaritan, you might want to check it out, it’s a short but interesting tale, has a bit of relevance to this story too in many ways.
How do u know her story?
How about the children? All tapped out on sympathy for them too?
Guess I’m not tapped out.....
....I took one look and started praying for her and those little ones....
.....truly, you have no idea of her situation...
....
....I don’t think you meant it the way we read your words....
....but may I offer you say some prayers too for those less fortunate
God bless
My hubby left. :)
Only with one certain demographic are you almost always right about being a single mom. Otherwise it could just be a mom running errands without did but with the kids.

Really?
My mother was a single mother———widowed young.
She could have been the one needing help.

Single mothers aren’t always sluts, spitting out welfare babies without benefit of wedlock, ya know.
A lot of single mothers started out as married women who took vows “til death us do part” and were blindsided when dad bailed out to run off with some lunch hour lap dancer.
