"Two Types Of Asians" by Russell Peters
Note that there is a Part 2 on the side menu when this vid abruptly stops.
Having many friends of various nationalities I could not help but laugh as well after she made certain I could not refrain from watching it. :O)
Thanks for sharing this, Peters is a funny guy.
Archie Bunker had it all figured out years ago.

Meh. Political correctness has made it completely impossible for so many subjects to be topics of humor, that it’s amazing that someone who apparently gets a complete pass on political correctness can’t do more with the low-hanging fruit no-one else is allowed to touch.
*grin* Funny! Thanks for sharing. :)
‘Ay, having had to endure decades (no I am not exaggerating) of black ‘comedians’ making “white” jokes, while no “white” comedian ever dared make any “black” jokes, I found this mate to be hysterical. I mean what are they going to do -report him to mrs bill so she can promote him as a typical “Racist” product of American society still after 200 years?
Most welcome, mate. After Kimmie pointed this one out, I could not stop laughing -this bloke seems to know all the “asians” I do!
*grin*
By the way, did you know that the Pommies all refer to the Indi-types (Pakis, Hindis, Afghanis, Sri Lankans, Nepalese, Burmese, etc.) as “asians”? Makes one wonder what most Yanks think when they do not include them with the main Far Eastern types.
Well, I just got to the 4 minute mark and I said nope, no thanks.
In Britain, “Asians” are from South Asia.
As I see it, if you hail from Istanbul, Petropavlovsk Kamchatskii, or somewhere in between, you’re an Asian.
Just start on one and let them keep loading. Completely hilarious.
Perhaps you have to be of other than “anglo” descent to appreciate the humor.
My family, we are all mixed so the digs he launches at all the various ethnicities we find especially hysterical. I suppose that’s why Kimmie pointed it out previously; because she knows the makeup of where I come from and knows that we hate racist comments no matter who utters them.
My various uncles and aunts after having viewed this vid and working through the translation(s) all found this hysterically funny as well. :) Remember when I say that too that most other nationalities do not have the same Politically Correct viewpoint of so many in our society today, and many (of the members in the family) were literally rolling about the floor laughing about how succinctly and accurately this vid hit home for them. :)
Cheers!
A Chinese restaurateur vents his frustration over a major metamorphosis in the popular culture that is sweeping America. These tunes will help to clarify what he is griping about.
Dungaree Doll,/a>--Eddie FisherSeventeen--The Fontane Sisters
Rock Around the Clock--Jack Richards (with Vic Corwin & His Orchestra)
I hate political correctness passionately.
I just didn’t find any of his stuff funny and after 4 minutes, if he’s so “hilarious”, I should have gotten at least a grin out of it. Gave up.
Now Dave Chappelle? He was and is hilarious.
I cannot help but think how funny it would be to see a Chinese attempt at imitating/mocking an American accent.
Can it be done?
And the “eyes” bit? You thought that was so bland as to not merit even a yawn then, mate? Kimmie thought that was so funny she was literally rolling about the floor laughing so hard she was!
Perhaps you have to have had some experience having had some of those stereotypes applied to your own self to appreciate what he is pointing out here.
Having been assumed to be every nationality from Black Irish, AmerInd (I won’t specify which nations), Hawaiian, Korean, Nihonjin, Chinese, and Russke... I think this bloke does an amazing job at pointing out our sometimes unconscious stereotyping.
Perhaps if you were to be approached on the street someday and addressed in rapidfire “spanish” (mexican) you would appreciate better what he is so adeptly poking fun at.
Meh. No worries. Take care then.
Cheers!
*laugh* YES!!!
My friend Nam Tran (later changed to Phil Chan) was guilty of that fo-pah (*grin* “faux-pas”, snicker) on more than one occasion.
Not only did the Yanks find it extremely funny, but if you were from Oz you just about found him almost incomprehensible when he attempted it. *grin*
Think: FOB Chinese trying to say “Incomprehensible Pronunciation” -while attempting a “Valley Guy” voice...
*grin*
Right... *gasping a bit* that was worth a belly-laugh or several :) Thanks for the link! *grin*
