It seems that the obvious next move for the French is to send the French Foreign Legion to Tunisia to go full throttle agaist ISIS. Not only was the Nice, France terrorist from Tunisia but that country is also a recruiting grounds for ISIS which has a strong presence there.
The French Foreign Legion don't fool around. When they are sent to African nations, the groups they oppose often disperse in all directions rather than directly encounter the French Foreign Legion. Since no jungle in Tunisia, it would be much harder for ISIS to hide.
Anyway, that seems to be the very obvious choice of what the French need to do now.
Yeah. 200,000 Muslims there. Roughly 25% of the population. Has been variously ranked as one of the most dangerous cities in Europe.
Why not expel Muslims from France?
Would that not be the logical solution.
I can’t help but think there is much more to this attack then some crazed petty criminal of Tunisian origin.
1). 3 month state of emergency in France ending yesterday
2). Hollande committing more military effort in Syria and Iraq after attack.
3). Hollande statement....”...learn to live with terror like Israel”.
Why aren’t the politicians targeted?
I KNOW the Legion...now go play with your dolls.
So the leftists and progressives have their conundrum
Their brainless, asinine leftist immigration, welfare, policing and social-engineering policies are going to lead to brainless war and interventions abroad.
Please explain that to me, lefties.
And this is not a small unit, it is about the size and capability of the British Royal Marines. You couldn’t be more incorrect about the FFL. They have the ability to lock down Tunisia harder than you think.
And the hard reputation of no mercy is very real for them.
I know the Legion also. And my opinion is the opposite, she is correct, you are not.
Beau Geste returns. Get ‘em Beau! Kill them all and let God sort them out.
Well, guess it is time to schedule a no war demonstration
“Why arent the politicians targeted?”
Enablers. They get a pass.
I bet Eastern European nations like Hungary now feel relieved that they did NOT allow the Syrian “refugees” to remain.
STOP invading Muslim nations. Leave them alone in their despair...just KEEP ALL MUSLIMS OUT of the entire West.
Your percentage sounds low. I’ve seen numbers as high as 40% Muzzi in that city.
Shut your trap! I KNOW the Legion VERY well! I also had a great insight into the great Onzieme Choc. They were equal to the Legion.
Read Jean Larteguys first book.
I think it’s titled The New Centurions.
Raspeguy, Esclavier, Mariendelle.......
Great book.
Figure out who the one-eyed cat dragging the sack of garbage is.
I read it when I was in high school.
On the news this morning they were saying France is trying to get those who served in the military recently back into the forces. Apparently they don’t have enough to take on the task at hand.
I liked Sarko. He had started dealing with the problem effectively. Unfortunately, Hollande was elected, but he is dead meat now. has the lowest popularity rating imaginable...somewhere in the teens. Nevertheless, the French people are fed up. Calling on all the retired former servicemen and gendarmes to back up the current effectives will massively enlarge the eyes and ears on the ground. Remember, in France, the gendarmerie is part of the armed services. I’ll be in France in a few days. Not worried a bit.
The book might also be titled The Lost Command.
They made a movie about it.
Anthony Quinn was Raspeguy.
ISIS hides among and behind the people. Without locals helping them, there is no easy way to sort out the locals from the terrorists.
“Friend, do you hear the sound of the Raven in the plains?
Friend, do you hear the sound of your country in chains?”
I see that the terrorists at the concert in France cut off some of their male victim’s genitals and stuffed them in the victims mouths.
Larteguy wrote about that decades ago.
Read about what “The Lizards” did in response.
It’s fiction, but I think it’s fiction based on real events.
