“GOP National Committeeman: Romney Heading Up National Movement Against Trump”
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3448840/posts
Today Rush Limbaugh said in his programme, #neverTrump should not try anything during Convention.
The GOPe WANT to lose .
No doubt many will stay home if they deny the primary voters will.
They do not care if Hillary wins, it is about Trump ending their good old thing.
They do that and we have to vote for all the primary opposition to offenders until the cancer is gone.
I will never vote again. Period.
But I suppose that is what the GOPe is hoping for anyway.
They won’t be successful at the convention. People like Bill Kristol stand to lose money if Trump is elected. That is why they keep saying Romney or Kasich should challenge Trump.
It has occurred to me that these stories may be planted to unify the party behind trump.
Even most people who didn’t like Trump have some sense of fairness and what is right. A cabal to overthrow the primaries wouldn’t sit well with most of the grass roots, IMO.
Could this all be strategy to infuriate and coalesce the base? Then when the convention starts people actually pay attention. Furthermore, the press looks like trolling fools when nothing happens. Meanwhile, Trump got a lot of free air time.
This is really all about trying to get leverage on Trump to pick a VP...to the GOPE liking...
which will probably happen...
I think the convention will go off well, at least on the inside...
It’s not going to happen. Trump is the nominee. There is no way they can deny him. They don’t have the clout to change the rules. No way, no how. This stuff has been circulating for months on end. Curly Haughand just got his ass handed to him by a federal judge who called his arguments nonsense, and contrary the GOP rules. Everybody needs to relax. This “coup” attempt will be on the scale of your local pee wee team playing the New England patriots, or your t-ball playing 8 year old facing Nolan Ryan.
The GOPe gave in a long time ago. THEY are the only ones that ever had the clout to try to wire this thing. They did they damnedest, and they failed.
This remnant of losers has zero chance. Watch and see.
The retribution has to be more severe than that. What we do at the ballot box, or even IF we go to the ballot box at all means nothing to them.
It’s all about the gravy train.
I don't like it that Romney, Kristol, Ryan and Jeb Bush are not fully supporting Trump.
If they try to disrupt the convention and work to get someone else nominated,
I WILL LEAVE THE REPUBLICAN PARTY FOREVER.
It will not be the Republican Party anymore.
The GOPe doesn’t care about losing. They do care about maintaining their corrupt and lucrative system.
Damn straight. And some of ‘em are gonna lose anyway. Starting with Paul Ryan.
Something else to consider. Make sure of the loyalty in the electoral college if Trump pushes back the traitorous Mitt. He needs to be sure of those people as well. It would be rather dicey to have armed supporters outside where the electors cast votes in early December. Better to be sure of the electors going in. I am shocked at the thought of what I am saying. Borderline revolution.
After this election...I’m finished with the GOP. Their true traitor colors fly high and clear.
If they overtly dump Trump, they will likely lose the Senate also, as 13 million votes go elsewhere or stay home.
They are defending 24 Senate seats and the Dems 10. A swing of as few as 5 could send McConnell to the back of the chamber while the Dems take control of the Senate.
Add to that a Hillary presidency and it will be the start of a disaster. Likely, in 2018, they will also lose the House. That would give Hillary a full Congress. She would make Obama’s first 2 years of a full Congress look like child’s play.
Add in upwards of 5 Supreme Court justices, and the Dems could control the government for decades.
All because a few dozen sour-grapes establish Republicans are bent out of shape because one of ‘theirs’ did not get the nomination through the primary process.
1. Nobody knows what most of the delegates are going to do, rule change(s) notwithstanding.
2. Threats are meaningless, the Status-Quo-Club thinks a Trump win is a worse loss than a Hillary win. Their goals have little in common with yours. In their minds they are in danger and have nothing to lose.
3. This leads me to hope both that they are right and that they lose big.
Romney has apparently gone mad. Seriously. There’s something wrong with him.
