The seminar is called Unleash the Power Within. The multi-day event with world-renowned motivational speaker Tony Robbins is designed to help you unlock and unleash the forces inside that can help you break through any limit and create the quality of life you desire, according to promotional materials.
Overcome the unconscious fears that are holding you back, Robbinss site proclaims. Storm across a bed of hot coals.
Once you start doing what you thought was impossible, youll conquer the other fires of your life with ease.
But Thursday nights coal walk in Dallas didnt go so well for dozens of seminar attendees: Five people were taken to the hospital and about 30 to 40 were evaluated after sustaining burn injuries to their feet and lower extremities after attempting to walk across hot coals in front of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center, said Dallas Fire and Rescue spokesman Jason Evans said,

There’s a lesson to be learned, here.
He is such an idiot and phoney. Wonder if he will get sued, given if people signed a release before they walked.
I fell into a burnin’ ring of fire
I went down, down, down
And the flames went higher,
And it burns, burn, burns,
The ring of fire, the ring of fire.
Same liberals who make fun of the snake handlers get injured when they try to walk across hot coals. Perhaps they weren’t light enough in their loafers.
Sorry but everybody obeys the laws of physics. At the end of the conference the attendees were given Darwinian awards.
Tony Robbins, horse face, or maybe the other end.
I see lawyers, many lawyers, in Mr. Robbins future.
Did he offer them purple drank too?
Amateur. He should told the attendees to sleep over a bed of sharp nails.
I’m surprised Tony Robbins has taught this ‘hot coals walk’ class for years without being sued into multiple bankruptcies. I do believe most motivated people can do this if they attain the correct state of mindful confidence. But there’s always the risk of copycat failure based on sudden panic. As a side note, I think Tony is doing quite well for a guy with what appears to be Acromegaly, a form of giantism caused by dysfunctional pituitary glands.
Before you partake in an illusion, you should understand how the illusion works. You walk on “hot coals” after they have burnt down to ash. White ash is a great thermal insulator. The ash protects your feet from the heat, thus giving the illusion of “mind over matter”.
I am an engineer. I am paid to understand problems and fix issues. Unfortunately I cannot fix “Stupidity “
Stupid people driven by an emotional response to their idol becoming more and more common these days...
I had read about it years ago. It’s a Hindu Temple fire walking ritual. You can look it up on youtube. There are a couple of videos. It’s hard to tell if the two walkers I saw had protection on their feet.
“He is such an idiot and phoney. Wonder if he will get sued, given if people signed a release before they walked.”
He’s certainly a phony.
I’d argue that the idiots are the ones paying for his “help”.
Unleash the Power Within.
I bought that audible book on advice from some idiot to help me lose weight.
It wasn’t bad. I used to eat oreaos while I listened to it :)
The only part that he got right was “show me a family that isn’t dysfunctional!!” :)
And you bought the line of BS hook, line, and sinker,
Good one. Learned this awhile back. Also good to know foot placement and have some really calloused feet!
From what I understand, they stopped to take selfies.
The idea is that you go across quicly enough not to get burned. Like flicking your finger through a flame.
Keep that same finger in the flame and take a selfie and see what happens :)
God, so many people are idiots!! :) Makes for entertainment.
