Donald Trump, according to a new report, has accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
No, you didn't accidentally click on The Onion. That's a factual statement, according to a well-respected evangelical faith leader.
Dr. James Dobson, who was among the more than 900 evangelical faith leaders who met with the Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting in New York City, says it happened fairly recently. He also said he knew who led the businessman to Christ.
"I don't know when it was, but it has not been long," Dobson told Godfactor's Michael Anthony in an exclusive interview. "I believe he really made a commitment, but he's a baby Christian. We all need to be praying for him, especially if there's a possibility of him being our next chief executive officer."

He thought he was doing God’s work when he was persecuting God’s people.
If so, it was very recent.
So you are A-OK with a secret Muzzie in the White House?
But I sure saw him on tv praying with his family a lot. Or praying here or there, or going to this church.
I’ve been part of the political process since 1980...NEVER have I seen a candidate seem to push his faith as much. Not even Huck.
Thanks. Good points in the article. I sent it off a moment ago.
THANK YOU!!
Why did I not see it?
Happens ;)
Heritage Foundation...They held seminars on the Evangelical vote in 2010 and noted that the Evangelicals did NOT come through for Romney in 2012. He did carry the independents but did NOT get the traditional conservative Republican vote. The bottom line, I was told by one statewide insider, was the many could not bring themselves to vote for a Mormon.
One woman said she got people to vote when they say that no one measures up to their Christian standards, she replies, "Well, Jesus isn't on the ballot this time. Who's your SECOND choice?"
Thank you. A lot of folks on here don’t seem to have much of an understanding of basic Christianity.
I see your tag line has mention of the Great Commission. Some folks should look that up.
What evidence is there that he hasn't? Compare him to the "run of the mill" Christian and there is nothing to say he hasn't accepted Christ and he's probably does less daily evil than a whole lot of long-term Christians.
Its between Trump and God.

God knows why he called Trump. Now, it is for us to be faithful to this choice. Let’s hope that people wisely exercise another of God great gifts - free will. Are we the ones being tested?
You have written a very gracious and caring post!
If Trump were to follow his decision with Believer’s Baptism as a public profession of faith, it would lend more weight. In any case, if he made a decision for Christ, what’s in his heart is between God and him.
We’re not hiring a preacher in November. Frankly, we can do without any more “Christians” like Jimmy Carter in the White House.
I’m not seeking a Sunday school teacher - ala Jammy Cartah.
Trump is easily the best candidate to defend our religious freedoms.
Not even close...
Oh. You meant Saul of Tarsus before he became an apostle, "Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief." (1 Timothy 1:13) But he was no hypocrite, for he was acting consistent with what he believed, which is why he persecuted the "sect of the Nazarenes," ignorantly presuming that he was serving the true God, and thus could make the astounding statement, "Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day." (Acts 23:1) And thus once corrected, that he was not serving God but that Jesus was the Christ, and converted, then he loved the church at least as fervently than he had hated them. Glory to God.
If Trump doesn’t want to talk about this alleged conversion, then it never happened, for the faith that saves is one the confesses the Lord Jesus in word and deed overall.
Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 10:32)
2010 tell us what happened in 2012? In any case, I think that was a fallacious charge in the light of research that shows that they did "come through," voting for semi-conservative Romney by a greater percentage than for Sen. John McCain four years ago, but blaming the most major conservative religious group for the loss of a weak candidate due to so few others voting like they did gets headlines.
Poll: Evangelical Turnout Increased in 2012 Over 2008 | LifeNews.com
In Defeats, Evangelicals' Political Unity at All-Time High | Christianity ...
Even if evangelical turnout dropped by about half a million votes in 2012 as one source claims (which would also effect how many Obama received), they cannot be responsible for the five million- vote loss for Romney, when 79% of approx. 32 million evangelicals voters supported the Mormon over Obama.
Likewise...
I dont expect any OLD Christian to be able to explain everything about the Gospel,
