Donald Trump, according to a new report, has accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
No, you didn't accidentally click on The Onion. That's a factual statement, according to a well-respected evangelical faith leader.
Dr. James Dobson, who was among the more than 900 evangelical faith leaders who met with the Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting in New York City, says it happened fairly recently. He also said he knew who led the businessman to Christ.
"I don't know when it was, but it has not been long," Dobson told Godfactor's Michael Anthony in an exclusive interview. "I believe he really made a commitment, but he's a baby Christian. We all need to be praying for him, especially if there's a possibility of him being our next chief executive officer."

See, even God was hurt by Trump’s harsh rhetoric and sent him here to save America!
I don’t expect any new Christian to be able to explain everything about the Gospel, but what evidence is there to show that Trump has accepted Christ?
This is God’s plan for Trump.
Good. I hope he did.
He really needs our prayers for protection.
It’s for Trump to say. I hate this kind of crap. Dobson is just playing games to pump his business. If Trump doesn’t want to talk about it, what position does this put him in? What Dobson is doing is wrong.
I know what you mean, but I believe we’ll have to wait and see. Will he over time start to make decisions with the Lord in mind, and say so, talking about how his faith influenced his decisions?
It’s between Trump and God.
Why people wnat other people to display their personal spiritual relationship with God I’ll never know.
People are reluctant to believe this and I said, hey, you go through life and it’s not always good and people get saved all the time. We are blessed as a country and pray for his safety and pray he wins.
I agree. It is a very personal matter in my opinion.
That is nice, if it’s true, but I don’t insist on a Pres. Candidate to necessarily share all my religious beliefs.
I just want them to be respectful of those beliefs as much as bureaucratically possible, unlike certain Kenyan-American Presidents.
Because by my faith (acceptance of Yeshua) I will show you my deeds because faith without works (deeds) is dead.
I don’t expect a new Christian to be able to prove anything right off the bat. In other words, we can’t confuse justification with sanctification.
If Dobson said it, I accept it.
We have a president who covers up images of Christ when he speaks at a Christian University, while claiming to be “Christian”. I know phony when I see one; and this ain’t one.
This sounds genuine and I wish God’s blessings for Mr Trump and his family.
Lincoln apparently didn’t become fully Christian until after Gettysburg. (That “new birth of freedom” expression may have a biblical source.)
Yet he may have been God’s pick for America at that time, even before his full conversion.
I’m assuming it’s because the Bible teaches that Christians will be known by their actions / fruit.

Seriously? Dobson is an honorable man...
Much more likely he is sending a message out to the Christian community who are not comfortable voting for Trump because he certainly didn’t act or talk like a believer in the primaries...
I am not convinced that Trump has accepted Jesus, and in fact I am rather skeptical.
However, I am certain that Hillary sold her soul and signed on with the opposite team. That’s enough for me to support Trump, even ignoring all the other issues.
He needs to repent of going on reality TV and pro-wrestling when he really didn’t have to. He was already a billionaire or close to it. I mean come on already.
As far as being a Christian, one of the really redeeming things about Trump is that all the folks who come into contact with him that could do nothing for him all say he is a really good guy. Door men, drivers, waiters, cops all seem to say very positive things. He comes off as generous and not seeking publicity from that generosity. This is a very very good sign as far as walking the walk in my opinion.
