If Democratic attorneys general can pursue climate change skeptics for fraud, then also at risk of prosecution are climate alarmists whose predictions of global doom have failed to materialize.[Snip]
...it has been asserted that fossil fuel companies may have funded non- profits who minimized the risks of climate change. Does anyone doubt that clean energy companies have funded non-profits who exaggerated the risks of climate change? Under the stated theory for fraud, consumers and investors could suffer harm from misstatements by all energy-market participants and the non-profits they support.

I see a ‘Scopes Monkey Trial II’ on the horizon.
Do they have an extensive part of the Law School curriculum designed to cause dementia?
Bet Al Gore transfers his money to Swiss banks now.
Final sentence of letter sums it up. Stop the thought police!
In a dictatorship only the will of the dictator matters.
It would fun to watch them go after some politically activated AGs too.

Love the name of the Alabama AG - Luther Strange.
Grade school musta been interesting for him.
For this to get any traction at all, there needs to be a legal organization willing to compile evidence and essentially present a public indictment of individuals and organizations who have demonstrably committed science fraud, resulting in harm to others.
Just publishing a list of names of individuals and organizations, as well as bullet points about their particular frauds and monetary consequences should throw liquid nitrogen on those AGs hoping to hold climate denial show trials.
Importantly, MMGW is not the first effort of these scoundrels to commit science fraud. Paul R. Ehrlich and his cronies need to be identified as well for their “Population Bomb” scare in the 1970s. While it is unlikely they could be punished criminally or civilly for their offenses, “putting them in the same cell” with people like James E. Hansen, Michael Mann, the genocidal Eric R. Pianka, and so many other villains. Even Al Gore should be in the docket.
Thought crime...just having ideas contrary to the will of Big Brother is criminal
