The Democrats know the GOP has no political principles and no political courage.
The Democrats would get a semi-auto gun ban.
Muslim immigration would continue - and probably increase.
And the GOP would do nothing to stop it.
Obama would agree to the term then renege and let muslim in. What would the spineless cowards of the eGOP do about it? Nothing.

Our military/police units use assault weapons .. and those who need them for their professions should be given a permit to have them.
One permit per police dept/military unit; and other types such as specialized security units.

Almost certainly not. Trump either knows or would quickly come to realize the left calls most any weapon that is mag, drum or clip operated an assault weapon whether or not it is full auto.
Further, bear in mind that most of the left believes the Constitution is fundamentally flawed. It has been said that negotiating just about anything of significance with the left suggests you would be willing to have some amount of arsenic in your water.
Better idea: Halt muzzie immigration.

Uh, NO F’ING WAY!!!
First of all, our right to keep and bear arms is a pre-political right - it pre-dates our nation, it is a HUMAN RIGHT. That cannot be negotiated away by others - you don’t want to be armed, that’s YOUR choice, but no one can make that choice for anyone but that person him or herself.
Second, you do know who we’re dealing with, don’t you? A bunch of liars. I could EASILY see Obama agreeing, Congress passing a law (which, granted, will be challenged in court), and all ARs and similar weapons removed from sale. Then, a few weeks later, Obama signs and E.O. and the Moslems start coming in again. Further, if Hillary wins, she will definitely do the same. We’ll get the worst of both worlds.
