Liberals demand that you let gators eat people if they so choose, and attempting to resist the gator’s attack will result in the death penalty once liberals get their way.
Gators and terrorists are not the problem, the problem is Orlando. We need to ban that place.
I was there as a kid in the 90s and they’re all in the surrounding pool.
How do you think they catch deer, dogs and cats which are magnitudes more alert and athletic than a two year old? Have you NEVER seen a wildlife documentary?
BTW, the child’s father was fighting the gator for the child. What was the mother doing?
Where did you read that the father fought with the gator?
I missed the news about the father fighting the gator. Up until my post, the news had just been that the toddler was walking along the water when the gator struck. Apologies if I have been wrong about the event.
I just listened to the press conference. Both parents went after the gator. I can’t imagine. My heart is broken. I have a one year old granddaughter.
Gators are a protected species. Nuisance and menacing gators can be removed under certain conditions, but that does not provide a basis for the removal of all gators from a large lake. In addition, gators tend to pop up in new places in the spring and summer as they roam looking for mates, food, and better habitat. As aquatic top predators, when adult gators see food, their reaction is to try to feed. Sadly, small children are seen as food by gators.
The family is from Nebraska.
I just heard the live report
The gator took the little boy who was playing at the edge of the water in front of the father and the father did try to get the child out of the gators mouth . The mother was a few feet away with the baby and she tried too .
link is bad
Heartwrenching. No words.
Prayers up.
You are correct about the risks of such an event. Disney though has a massive injury claim defense team, hangs tough when cases go to court, and tries to settle for as little as possible. And, being both of good repute and economically important to the Orlando economy, Disney does not fear going to trial.
Disneyland has no live gators
Ugh... baiting. Poor form.
Sounds like a reason to try to get a change of venue.
the mother also jumped into the water to try to rescue the child.
horrible tragedy....prayers for the family....poor child...
there are not supposed to be any gators in the lagoon
May be a bit of paranoia with Disneyworld allegedly being an initial target by Orlando shooter, but I'd be checking surveillance tapes for strange vans or SUVs near the lagoon
