It’s not race. It’s state of mind. It’s generational dependence on government and rejecting ownership of your life. It’s resentment, envy, greed, violence, and the glorification of criminality.
It’s falling thrall to a government that has no qualms about generational theft to support this economic and moral enslavement ... and that has no qualms about lying to protect that generational scheme.
It’s the disregard for laws, the Constitution, and the American tradition and culture.
It’s the rejection of the foundation of the faith - and its responsibility it places on us - that was integral to our country’s founding.
It’s a complete lack of respect for others, for oneself.
It’s not race.
And it’s only race because those in power who will do *anything* to stay there make it about race.

I’m glad some can see it for the gaffe it was. He never should have used the language “Mexican heritage” when citing a reason to distrust Judge Curiel. It’s just not defensible in the public arena. To far too many, to impugn even one’s nationality is to be “racist”. It doesn’t matter if technically speaking, by the mere definition of words, it’s actually not racist. It is in the dim minds of the left, and that’s all that matters, again in the public arena (which sadly they control)

It’s too late now though. Hopefully, as you said he moves on. In his victory speech last night he said he’d be giving a press conference sometime around Monday all about Clinton. So that’s good. As to the OP, I must say, sadly as a former Cruzer, Sen. Cruz shouldn’t be enabling the further bloodletting surrounding Trump’s gaffe. He should stick to the job he has now, being a Senator, the race is over. Any more criticism about Trump from him comes across as sour grapes.
