Here's an interesting exchange between NBC News and former Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz that happened just now:
NBC: Donald Trump's remarks about Judge Curiel, are his concerns legitimate?
Cruz: Of course it's inappropriate to be attacking a federal judge's race or ethnicity. You're going to have ask Donald to explain the reason he says the things he does. I'm not going to try to do so.
NBC: Ben Sasse said that what Donald Trump said about the judge is pure definition of racism. Is Donald Trump a racist?
Cruz: As I said, it is obviously inappropriate to attack a judge's race or ethnicity. Beyond that, you're going to have to ask Donald.
NBC: (As Cruz walks away): Last question Senator, can you fathom though still at this point supporting Donald Trump in November?
(No response -- goes into office)

With all the activist affiliations of the judge, it would seem extremely unethical for HIM to proceed in a trial involving Trump. Why isnt the focus on that, Mr. Cruz?
Could someone point Mr. Cruz in the direction of the opponent: Hillary Clinton.
Groups that are not white are always bragging about how wonderful they are. That is those advocates who are always in the media.
Yes, the new messiah will be a Cuban/Canadian lawyer. :^D
Yep, this country is a seven layer cake of corruption.
Ryan should not have used the word racist, that is just stabbing Trump in the back.
As a long time Cruz fan, I am SO disappointed in his repeated failures to “start brain before engaging mouth”.
Reasonable evidence shows the judge to be a racist.
Sigh...M.L.King with his goal of a color blind society must be spinning in his grave.
This is one of those pictures that is worth a thousand words. It illustrates what a commenter said about how Trump supporters were being hunted like prey.
Snowflake PIA Moon Lighter is gone.
Good to hear : )
Two or more races in one country is a formula for disaster. We have to speak up against immigration from all over the world or this will be our future.
Wait... I’ve missed a recent ZOT?!? :( Point me in the right direction, please!
>>You can “win ugly” if you choose your weapons carefully.
Good weapons are: “conflict of interest”, “questionable associations”.
Bad weapons are: “He’s Mexican”. <<
justlurking, your arguments make sense. We can’t pretend that the MSM is going to present anything but the tippy-top of the narrative. We know they do it... it’s important not to hand them extra ammo.
I haven’t followed the case all the way through, but perhaps you can answer this question. Has Curiel been on the case since the beginning? Also, whenever he took this case on, why wouldn’t Trump’s legal team challenge his connections and potential conflict of interest at the outset? Thanks.
You didn’t miss the zotting. It was the snowflake you mentioned.
Cruz, you SUCK.
ping
There you go again, lying Ted!
Trump is objecting to an activist La Raza (the Race) judge who has mishandled court documents. He has every right to do so.
I’m beginning to wonder if Ted ever graduated from Law School. Looks like he’s not well grounded. Loser.
And don’t you Cruzers complain about other FReepers reporting on Cruz’s lack of Trump support AFTER he signed a pledge to support the party nominee.......Lying Ted should just go ride off into the sunset (somewhere in the Yukon territory).) STFUT
No, idiotic statement, so no defense.
Well, I’d rather have a guy who doesn’t have a mission to self-destruct, as Trump does. For a man who is supposed to be so savvy, he sure makes some stupid comments. Trump is giving people excuses not to vote for him, and that is inexcusable.
“But it is appropriate for a judge to be a member of a racist organization, I guess.”
Who said this? Trump turned what SHOULD have been a solid issue into a disaster.
