My verdict? I fell asleep during the first 90 minutes. In the last hour, action picked up considerably, but not enough to save this flick.

I thought it was a very good film. I enjoyed it and it had some very good moments.

I thought the movie was OK right up until they killed Hodor.

I was reluctant to go but it was Captain America or Angry Birds. I was pleasantly surprised and consider it one of the best of the series.

At least Captain refused to side with the UN. Ant-Man stole the picture (even before his surprise move).

Comic book movies are for, the most part, (not you guys...even
I saw deadpool yesterday...) today's modern 'man'--a low T weenieboi who, deep down, knows there is good and evil, but is too cowardly to face it in everyday life.
He has no problem distinguishing the "good guys" from the "Bad guys" in comic book movies...But will not as much as make a comment on the internet that goes against a viscous, relentless and seemingly unstoppable liberal groupthink.
And so he hides his head in a fantasyland of comic book movies, toys and video games. things that remind him of when the world was less complicated--and safer.

Regular movies tend to be about 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 hours.
These ‘action’ movies go over 2 hours.
Whenever I watch one, I notice that I look for areas where they could have cut.
After about 1-1/2 hours of so, I find myself drifting or picking up the laptop to check out things online.

My girl dragged me to it last weekend. I did not like it. I didn’t tell her that of course. She’s a child.

We all liked it. It was fun, crazy action. Ant-man is a real scene stealer. +1 for the U S of A and down with the UN.

Im assuming the moral complexity is intended to be in the conflicts between the characters, but these conflicts are all so obvious and cartoonish that I absolutely failed to detect it.Hey lady, they don't call it a comic book story for nothing.
I haven't seen the movie, but if I do, I will not judge it against "War and Peace", "Titanic" or "Citizen Kane!"

I find modern movies to be extremely boring, and I don’t watch shows either. I watch anime, which are usually fantastic shows.

They all said, at last, a decent Avengers movie with emotional depth and moral complexity, and now I have to question what planet theyre living on.
This is a movie based on comic books - any positive attribute applied to such movies by reviewers should always be considered in that context. It has emotional depth - for a comic book movie. It has moral complexity - for a comic book movie. Etc.
Hollywood's only proven money makers are movies based on comic books, old TV shows and Star Wars.

Expect nothing and enjoy the mindless entertainment that most flicks offer - it’s an opportunity to hold my wife’s hand in a dark theater, eat pop-corn and take a break for everyday living....
