Explaining to listeners that he wasnt particularly happy with the shows most recent season, Trump said he was mulling an idea that is fairly controversial creating a team of successful African-Americans versus a team of successful whites. Whether people like that idea or not, it is somewhat reflective of our very vicious world.
(In a bizarre bit of time-capsule trivia, multiple critics suggested Trump was inspired by a reality show that ABC had recently yanked before airing, Welcome to the Neighborhood, which would have allowed three white families in suburban Texas to choose their new neighbors from among a group of contestants that included Koreans, African-Americans, pagans, and a same-sex couple with an adopted black child.)

Back when “The Apprentice” seemed generally fair in the first few seasons, remember the winner the first two years were white males. I’m sure there was some behind-the-scenes blowback about that. The following season, it seemed predetermined that a woman (Kendra) won and I found it interesting that the men were given large phallic-symbol “towers” to manage while Kendra was given a house to redecorate.
But that meant the first three winners were white so the next year they had Randal, a black that Trump practically proclaimed the winner in the first week. Randall and Trump had issues after Randal won and he’s been among the Apprentice players campaigning against Trump.
I honestly felt the show producers went to Trump and told him he needed a female and a black champion in order to blunt charges of racism and sexism. No doubt the LGBT community would have demanded a champion too but the format got switched to “Celebrity Apprentice” where the celebs were donating their winnings to HIV and gay causes.
So Trump wanted a successful show?
Trump need the black market to sell more ties?
Trump wanted to keep the feds off his ass?
Of course it can. We can write it off.
This is a nothing burger or they would have saved it for an October surprise. Meh.
Is that the same as: make up for the loss, on the volume?
Man, these stories are such a reach its hysterical.

No, it’s true. He said it on the Stern show:
In a newly unearthed audio of Trump on Howard Stern’s radio show in 2005, he said: It would be nine blacks against nine whites, all highly educated, very smart, strong, beautiful people, right?
Stern’s sidekick, Robin Quivers, said: “Well, I think you’re gonna have a riot.
Trump proclaimed it would be the highest-rated show on television.
Stern asked the real estate mogul: Wouldn’t that set off a racial war?
“See, actually, I don’t think it would,” Trump declared. “I think that it would be handled very beautifully by me, cause you know, Im very diplomatic.”
Trump added: “Im a sensitive person and I also think that you’d probably have 35 million people a night watching.”
Here’s the key in all this, he DIDN’T do it.

The MSM and talking heads can go back and find all this stuff on Trump, but they couldn’t go back and find that Barky is a fraud and was not born on American Soil...and yet that’s ok....
People are nuts nowdays!!!
Hear! Hear!
They can not find any friends, classmates, family not in Africa... A nobody from nowhere.
I’ve seen this concept, played out, routinely, since the 1970s.
It’s called the “Family Feud.”
"It's for a good cause."
How about trans gender teams for Obama. Use to be men against the use to be women. ;-)
Go a bit farther!
He, she, m to f, f to m and zeros.
Line up around a pentagon.
Opposite sides go first!
And it’s for the children!
Just once I would like to see a commercial that has both blacks and whites in it, that didn’t treat the white people as the ignorant, unprepared, low class buffoons and the blacks as superior in every way. Of course to do otherwise would be rasis.
something not quite on topic but in a roundabout way does relate.
as a videographer i do a number of dance recitals every year. i recently got a new client that is a predominately African American studio and had their recital this past saturday. luck would have it that i also got another studio who wanted their recital on sunday recorded.
I went to the first one with the African American studio and it was friggin bedlam, people in the audience coming and going throughout the show, one woman even collapsed and it took a few minutes to get her up and out into the lobby. their recital took almost 2.5 hours and they performed 17 numbers and had a short award ceremony.
The next day I covered the new studio which had a much more diverse group of students, mostly white but some African Americans as well as a few Indian and Asians. But this studio was chop chop chop, no messing around, get on get off and be sharp at all times. Their recital also included a short awards ceremony but they packed 32 dances in just under 2 hours. There was no taking 7-8 minutes between dances due to lack of organization. Then there was one number called “Glory” that spoke of the bullcrap Ferguson Hands Up Dont Shoot crap. I found the first recital to be dreadful to cover but the 2nd one was a pleasure.
Do I need to mention that I took in 3x the number of orders at the 2nd recital....
All I’m saying is the show got more PC every season. Part of that was the producers but Trump definitely went along with it. In this day and age, a black vs. white Apprentice would spark outrage if a black person did not ultimately win. As long as libs run the show, there will be beancounters watching which special-interest groups got the bounty and will make a stink if other groups get overlooked too many times.
In the short term, I think it helped Trump in his campaign by appearing “fair” to all the different PC groups but how is it going to look if all his top aides or cabinet members are whites? Unfortunately, we’re no longer a meritocracy as much as we are a tokenocracy.
