I was pretty furious too, and it cost me about $2000 in easy missed stock trades yesterday which was an absolutely glorious day for trading.

After declining the WDOs 10 update at least 75 times over the past few months, I turned on my computer yesterday and found the “upgrade” “in progress”. It decided it was going to upgrade me whether I liked it or not.

I had 10 installed yesterday against my wishes too, I left my machine to get coffee and came back to find it installing 10.

It happened to us too, a couple of nights ago.

After it happened, I noticed something I hadn’t encountered before: on some websites with those big ads that cover half the page, you can’t get rid of the ad without answering questions from - Something; I don’t know if it’s a function of the website, or the new Windows.

Has anyone else seen this?

Have you found any devices that stopped working?

It would largely depend upon the age of your PC and the nominal age of whatever cards are installed...plus how “exotic” the collection of things you may have installed NEW or....salvaged from the last PC you tossed out. A 1-2-3 y/o PC, probably everything will work OK. Mine is I guess about 8 y/o. I bought it used for $125, it serves my needs fine.

The reason I didn’t convert this machine to Win10. The WiFi worked initially on my Win10 machine, but an update killed it. I used a restore point to make things work again, and then killed future Win10 updates to that machine.

If it initially worked, and doesn’t now, try to restore to an earlier date. If you are still within the first 30 days, restore to the pre Win10 operating system. If neither of those applied, I can’t be of help.

Really, brother? You can do better than booooossssshhhh.

Even Coors [spit, and spit again] would be equivalent...not better, just equivalent.

I’d recommend a Goose Island IPA (as long as the temp is approaching 100F), but not to be used in more than 6-at-a-time. Note that BBQ burgers and/or “back-ribs” are required with this brew.

Other opportunities are: [Cletus’ favorite]...http://bellsbeer.com/brands/#Seasonal-1

Likely cain’t get it in Tejas but...damn, it is GOOD beer! Strohs on steroids.

Yessir. You could also press the Windows key on your keyboard and “R” to bring up a run command. Or you could just search for “services” and that should give you something. It should look like two little gears. Either way, that brings up the list of services on your system. It’s usually organized alphabetically by name.

I shut mine off while it was updating, and it was undone. At my job we use programs that are not yet compatible with Windows 10; how can they just do it without permission? That was the third time I stopped it by turning off the PC; I no longer leave it unattended, and shut down completely.
