British papers and sources say women are more likely to develop mental illness. They are certainly more likely to seek treatment. Women are more likely to be depressed and suffer through it. Men are more likely to commit suicide, and probably to act out. If you’re in a country where suffering in silence is assumed to be the natural human condition and running amok is a major problem, you might well think men are more likely to be mentally ill.

I cured mine by getting rid of the first wife and putting the second one on notice. 20 years on, it seems to be working good so far. I no longer have the urge to get up on the roof and shoot at passing traffic. (Oh, the meds help, too.)

That is because women are expected to be BSC (Bat Shit Crazy). When a man goes BSC it immediately draws attention that there may be mental issues but when a women goes BSC it is written off as a normal cycle that women go through.
