This is not an awkward and embarrassing outreach to Hispanics. It's not aimed at Hispanics at all. It's aimed at white people. This is the kind of thing that Trump's basethe white working classviews as a perfectly sincere appreciation of Mexican culture. It says, "Yes, I want a wall, and yes, I want to deport all the illegal immigrants in the country. But that doesn't mean I hate Mexicans." It's basically an affirmation to Trump's voters that they aren't racists.
Plus it gets a ton of attention, and it also induces loads of mockery from overeducated PC liberals who don't understand a compliment when they see one. It's really a genius tweet.
Does everyone understand now? Trump is playing this game at a higher level than most of his critics.

Talk like that might start triggering the Trump worshipers.
That’s why I don’t think it was aimed at Hispanics OR to followers...at least not to assuage any guilty feelings of being potential racists. I think he was trolling the people who call him racists and rubbing their faces in their own nonsense while giving us a chuckle at their expense.
Exactly, it was a great ‘screw you’ to people who won’t even know they’re the butt of the joke.
Is that really so hard to understand?
Some people don't want to understand it. Some people only want to push their agenda.
The protestor in this gif has been given the name, TrigglyPuff. She is a rabid left wing, lesbian, college protestor. She doesn't care about anything other than protesting.... and eating small children.... Just saying.
It is basic common sense--that is until the psychological games start;--that someone who comes into an established society, with a common history, common values, common culture, accepts the heritage of those in that established society as a given, if he would get along. That does not mean he cannot retain his own values; but it sure means that he does not take umbrage that those whose land he has entered choose to maintain their culture; their traditions; their values & preferences.
It is not the only situation, where people are misled. That, at least, goes back to the account of Eve in the Garden. But the repetition of ingratitude for ones' Blessings, does not make that ingratitude or over-reaching acceptable.
Don’t bother to waste your time or FR’s bandwidth on that poster. S/he despises Trump who can do nothing right in his/her book. Every single post is an attack, milely veiled. Just keep scrolling and bypass the troll.

It’s worth your time and attention.
I’m not exactly sure that the story had a lot to do with the subject of the thread. But it does illustrate the absurdity of pandering to any meme that the leftist can come up with.
Now, the left can get away with pandering to any group. Why? I’d have to think about it. But just look at the Clintons speaking to any minority. Blacks? She starts speaking in ebonics. Jews. Put that yarmulke on and you are one of our own. Heads down South and all of a sudden she has a Southern drawl.
If you are looking for me to bow down and worship Trump with you just because JimRob says it is time to get along, it’s not gonna happen. I will probably vote for him in November given the alternative, but I am no happier with him than I was with Romney four years ago.
