Charismanews.com reported: Faith Driven Consumer (FDC), representing 41 million Americans who spend $2 trillion annually, has earned wide recognition for its groundbreaking FaithEqualityIndex.com (FEI), which scores more than 500 major brands for compatibility with the FDC community, and also for its Faith-Friendly Film Review entertainment rating system.
Today, amidst growing consumer backlash over Target's (Faith Equality Index Score 39/100) announcement that it will allow men in women's bathrooms and changing rooms, FDC is calling on its community of 41 million who spend $2 trillion annually to engage in a national #BUYcottWalmart effort by choosing Target's arch-rival Walmart (FEI Score 51/100) and nine alternative brands offering products in competition with Target.
"There's a critical business lesson to be learned with Target's recent decision: When including one group, don't expressly exclude another," said Chris Stone, founder of FDC. "In its statement explaining why it is allowing men in women's bathrooms and changing rooms, Target pointed out that inclusivity is at its core, and that everyone deserves to be protected equally. However, hundreds of thousands of consumers around the country are expressing frustration because they specifically feel excluded by Target's actions and, more importantly, unprotected and unsafe in Target stores. They have reacted by signing up to boycott the retailer. Our question to consumers is: So you've decided to #BoycottTarget, now what?

Certain Americans are pretty filthy, and most foreigners are definitely very filthy, with public bathrooms.
Might work or not. Starbucks basically said FU to the anti gay marriage people: “We don’t want your business”. A lot can depend on what the shareholders have to say about it (not much, with Starbucks).
I was waiting for something like this. Now I’m definitely selling Target short or buy some puts and make some money from their idiocy.
Let the boycott begin! And let’s make some money in the process.
Starbucks might not be your best bet.
Target --- much more mainstream profile. Therefore if we open up Alinsky tactics on all fronts, we can kick the stuffing out of them.
What are they going to do when Wal-Mart comes out in favor of cross dressers in the bathroom?
I have gay friends and female friends, and the females will verbally cut your throat behind your back faster than you can blink
My gay friends are all pretty chill. T & K have given me free legal advice (one is a lawyer) and K took it upon himself to become almost like an uncle or dad to me when I lost my own. He was always trying to set me up with various guys he thought were hot but were straight. He bought me some really nice clothes and loaned me some excellent jewelry to wear when we would go out. He even got me my very first glock!
“especially after Visa sent the replacement to the wrong address”
A credit card of mine last year was sent to my old address after I moved and the new people there evidently went ahead and used it (still being investigated; not completely clear yet who the party was that bought airline tickets to Mexico).
Many Walmarts at least have a “family” bathroom, usually in the back, where parents can go in with the kids, or at the very least stand watch outside the doors.
They’ll have about as much success as JC Penny did a few years ago.
Up here just about everyone (except me) seems to go to Starbucks - even my 99 YO mother who has one a few doors down from her retirement home (she walks there in good weather).
Buycotts usually tend to work better than boycotts, but I’ve never seen anyone get shellacked like Target in the sexuality wars. Now the foes are stacking the two.
Poor Target. Some idiot in their customer relations department is going to get kicked out the front door fast, methinks. Talk about a whopping miscalculation. Not that they would do things a lot differently, it’s the way they talked about it that has brought this humongous backlash. Even if I wanted to have an unofficial policy like that, I’d never ever advertise it. This is going over worse than burning the US flag.
Agreed! This is great!
Was the glock a barrel loader? (kidding, kidding)
I mean muzzle...
Anyhow it goes to show that we can’t necessarily stereotype an entire group, not even one with the nominally same vice. This could reflect different backgrounds, and maybe even different wishes for their ultimate futures.
What gets me is the young people on Facebook thinking you must be some kind of prude if you care about a man being in the same bathroom as you. Someone even said they used a Port a potty at the same time as a man to make the line go faster. There are some very lax morals in this country today. No shame, no modesty, nothing. At least until one of them gets ogled by an old man they think is creepy then look out!
The only thing I know about Walmart bathrooms is the entrance is not big enough to get their handicap scooters through. I know this because a neighbor recovering from hip surgery got stuck in the middle (it curves) and I guess it was a big deal to get her and the scooter out. Which surprised me because you would think their handicap scooters would fit into their handicap bathroom.
Target disconnect. Their customers are soccer moms, most of them are helicopter moms so of course they would not agree with men in the women’s restroom with their children. Not to say other mom’s would be good with it but soccer moms seem to be the group everyone worries about.
Nothing like a store policy that offends your base.
Boycott Target and Vote Trump...okay...
I never did much business with them and when they tossed the Salvation Army out I cut back even more.
There is one beauty product that it seems is only readily available at Target so my wife goes maybe twice a year. I tag along.
We’ll look for alternatives.
