Sorry, transhumanists - “...It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgement..” Technology will not save you.

Transhumanism is really about resenting our mortal state and fear of death.

A friend is a “minister” in one of these scientism churches. He plans to have his head cryogenically frozen. Seems to me he already has a frozen brain.

This has always been a fascinating topic for me. Anybody interested in breaking it down further, I’d highly recommend getting “The Artilect War” by Hugo de Garis.
I believe we are literally on the cusp of the technology he talks about. In other words:
Singularity

This has always been a fascinating topic for meMe, too. It started with reading OUT OF CONTROL by Kevin Kelly (1994)
Mathematically and Philosophically, I accept that there has to be an existence greater than ourselves that we can't know or understand.
This is about man striving to become that greater being. It's questionable how that works for humanity and mankind. So far, not real well.
(I guess you could call that my own personal religion)

They have a much easier route. They just need to join Glenn Beck and his Mormon buddies

I suppose that since I have an intraocular lens implant, that
technically makes me a transhumanist.
I don't want to be God, there's only one opening for Him, and it's filled.
I just want to see better.

“It is appointed unto man once to die, and after that the judgment.” Hebrews 9:27.
There is nothing puny mankind can do to change that inevitable end.
