I don't know about you but I'm sick and tired of this election season. FR has turned into a bickering board of bitter bubbleheads, it seems. Where we used to see Ted Cruz as a principled conservative... we now attack anyone who likes him as a "Cruzite" or "Cruzombie"... what happened?
First, there was the attack against him that he played dirty tricks in Iowa by relaying an MSM message that Carson was leaving the race. What would you do? If you are in a popularity contest against multiple opponents, wouldn't you make sure that the votes of an ideological brother weren't wasted on a failed effort? It's a logical reasoning... and you don't have days to debate it in committee, you have minutes and seconds before votes are tallied. That Cruz apologized at all for this news media-inspired fiasco shows him to be the bigger man.
Then what? He's following the rules and gathering delegates? I thought we wanted someone who knows how the game is played and can win elections... silly me. The Trump supporters don't seem to realize that DT is not the closer he claims to be. He is riding a wave of populism but is losing on the rules because he is disorganized and unprepared.
Saying all of this doesn't mean I am anti-Trump... I am anti-Dem whether the Dem is Hillary, Bernie, or Biden. Doesn't matter to me. If Trump is the eventual nominee, he will get my vote to stop the Dem machine's destruction of our great country.
In the primary, though, I want the most conservative in the race who has shown he knows how to win. That man is Ted Cruz. Why he is slimed on a conservative board is beyond me... and it saddens me. Maybe he isn't your guy... fine. Why does he have to be slimed? If he does manage to pull out an upset... what have you accomplished but hurting our best chance for conservative restoration in this country?

>> “You have a problem with a man who has lived the American Dream and has worked very hard?” <<
The American dream is not getting wealthy by structuring bankruptcies, and swindling elderly people out of their life savings, although it does seem to be the ‘New York Dream.’
.
Good post.
I think his major problem was not doing a stint at lower office (governor, congress) first to help make the transition.
I was told yesterday that Trump is a liberal Democrat. My reply:

Well said. You and I seem to be among the bare handful of people actually having a reasoned debate on this thread. The others are all complaining that it isn’t possible because the other guys are $%^&*’s.
To your point, neither candidate has all we might wish for; there is no perfect candidate in this race. We have to hope that the collective will of The People is 1) able to gravitate to the best available choice (since conditions are difficult now, People may wake up and pay attention) and 2) that the will of The People does prevail over all the tricksters working against the U.S. as a whole, like the OneWorlders, anarchists, foreign agents, etc.

I provide the link above as someone who finds Dr. Carson very likeable.
Right. And the courts will hold that the Constitution requires that a President be a person of natural allegiance to our country by virtue of being a citizen from birth--not having been subsequently naturalized to obtain citizenship.
Saying it with dear little periods around it does not make it so. It’s not a matter of faith or belief, and must be adjudicated properly at the SCOTUS level, because it is a precedent-setting matter.
Falsehoods expressed with vehemence and typographic decorations: still falshoods.
.
Every court that has had a chance on this has stated that there is no case to be heard.
.
Quote:
The posts about Trump are truthful, while the posts about Cruz are vile demonic lies intended to destroy the only viable candidate that was ever in the race.

Are you kidding or are you serious? Do you really think each and every issue raised about Cruz has been false? By the same token do you believe each and every accusation about Trump has merit?
FIL = Father In Law?
.
The courts have held that there is no issue to hear.
They have accused the litigants of wasting the time of the court.
No court has asked to see the documents that would prove it one way or another.
Also the concept of birth citizen and natural born citizen may or may not be the same. One can find precedence both ways (same or different meaning). That is one of the primary issues that needs to be decided, ultimately by the Supreme court.
.
Every issue raised about Cruz has been false.
You should have been able to ascertain that from the way the accusations were made.
Severely mentally ill people are posting most of them.

My personal opinion is that because of his accomplishments and mainly because of his good character, people came to Carson to urge him to run after that Prayer Breakfast when he upbraided Obama to his face. They raised funds, organized and urged him on. He took it as far as he determined he could stay viable, and was graceful throughout. That other freeper’s suggestion that he is “just looking for a job” deserved a rebuttal, since he is so well off from his previous work, and he and his wife have their foundation, his books, his speaking engagements, and so many other activities, he has no need whatsoever to look for a job; his motivation really is giving back to the nation who gave a guy like him such opportunities in spite of the rough road he had to travel get where he did. I hope he does have a voice in the next admin, since he has so much to give.
Reading comprehension. None of those courts was the SCOTUS.
.
There is no way the SCOTUS will ever hear this absurd scam.
.
.
Nor will it ever be heard by the SCOTUS; there is no issue.
.
Exactly right.
Thanks for the scoop.
