In conjunction with the tremendous number of large earthquakes over the past two weeks, it is now being reported that there are currently 40 active volcanic eruptions, 34 of which are occurring along the Ring of Fire. This is unprecedented.

According to the kooks in my area, that was supposed to happen last September. I went to a meeting of the "civitarians" here last May. They were absolutely convinced it was gonna happen then. They backed it up with the doctored pics of 2 suns and several other clearly faked photos. That was the first, and last "civitarians" meeting I attended.

Michael Snyder is a crank with absolutely no scientific background and whose only interest is in selling books and prepper supplies on his website and pimping his blog all over the place including here, and this “unprecedented” volcano story he’s been pushing for years now, among other alarmist articles like all the sea life is dying in the Pacific because of Fukushima, has been debunked numerous times.

And while earth quakes and volcanic eruptions kill and injure many and destroy property and my heart goes out to the victims of such disasters, in truth, when the time comes that this geologic activity stops completely, that is actually THE very bad sign.
Not only would plate tectonics (the force that drives earthquakes, causes the earth’s plates to move slowly over time, and also creates new and uplifts existing mountain ranges) and volcanism stop, but more importantly the earth would lose its magnetic shield.
When that happens anyone still around on planet Earth will wish for the days of earthquakes and volcanoes.
Our planet will be dead and so will we.
Truth is that just ONE of those volcanoes emit more carbon and other green house gases into the atmosphere than all human activity throughout all of Human History.
Don’t worry until the rivers in Yellowstone start boiling.

The tidal forces of sun and moon guarantee that volcanic action will occur on Earth. The numbers of volcanoes today are by no means unprecedented. The earth is not “settling down” with age. As the eons go by and the moon moves closer to the Earth count on volcanoes being a part of the environment. It should get pretty spectacular around the time that the moon reaches Roche’s limit.
