Tax Reform: The left is aghast that more than 20% of large, profitable corporations paid zero income taxes. But its the Democrats own tax policies that have created this odd situation.

Huh?
Probably 2008, it’s called a typo ;-)
Given the state of the media, that is reporting incorrectly, or not reporting at all, has become commonplace. Thought they were projecting....LOL
From your about page: “I write IBD editorials in Los Angeles, love Free Republic, and welcome any feedback on our stuff, positive or negative.”
Here’s my feedback: Of course you love Free Republic! You get instant hits on your blog/website, but don’t discuss any ideas back and forth on this website (FR). What could be better? Lots of eyeballs = more $ in your pocket. All you do is post once and the hits keep coming. It wouldn’t disturb me if you engaged with the rest of us here, but you don’t. You use FR for your own personal gain and nothing more.
I don’t mind giving IBD hits, one of the few decent U.S. newspapers left.
If companies don’t make a profit, they don’t pay taxes. Am I missing something here? Does the media actually think that corporations must pay taxes regardless of their profitability, as if the first thing a company does with its accounts receivables is to cut the government a check?
The ones that get me are when they interchange revenue/profit, gross/net and orders of magnitude. On business stories the libtards take that stuff and run with it...
Corporations don’t pay taxes. But they are damaged by them.
I like IBD, too, but I would prefer the hits come legitimately. As in, when a regular FReeper posts the link like happens with most every article. Plus, as I said in my earlier post, this guy won’t indulge in any discourse like regular FReepers do. He hasn’t responded but once or twice to anyone in years. Look at his posting history. You have to go back to 2013 to see even one comment other than the first post to his articles. So to me, he is USING Free Republic for his own monetary gain. If he loves FR so much, he should engage in discussion with the rest of us.
