'I hereby denounce the effects social media have on my children':
Daily Mail ^ | April 9, 2016 | Anneta Konstantinides

Hell hath no fury like an angry Southern mom.

Taking away electronics is a common parental punishment, but this mother decided to take it one step further - and shoot up her children's iPhones with a rifle.

‘I hereby denounce the effects that social media have on my children,’ the mom shouts at the beginning of the video, a gun in her hand. ‘Their disobedience and their disrespect.’

With perfect aim she blows the smartphone to smithereens, as its pieces go flying into the grass.

‘Set it up,’ she orders, as the man behind the camera begins to gather the pieces on the ground.

‘Still recording?’ she asks, ‘Yes ma’m,' he dutifully replies, showing viewers a cracked iPhone screen.

The mother reveals one of her children has left but then the camera shows two teens, a boy and a girl, are still here - watching as the only outlet they’ve ever known to a social life disappears.

‘I also take back my role as parent to my children,’ she then yells, not quite explaining just what that would entail.

Meanwhile a boy, presumed to be one of her sons, returns to the scene and gives the middle finger to the camera.

‘I refuse to be cursed,’ the mother begins again. ‘I refuse to be disobeyed. I take back my role as your parent.'

'Get a shot of them,’ she orders, as the camera pans to reveal the three angry children standing with their arms crossed, until one flips a double bird again.

She then points the gun and the camera moves to reveal that she’s not about to shoot a pheasant or a bottle, but is aiming straight for an iPhone perched on a tree trunk.

From the article

‘Anything left put it on top,’ she orders as the man behind the camera picks up the touch screen and back casing of the smartphone.

Silly, she didn't pound the kids with the sledge hammer, though they might have deserved it.

You have got to read the comments. One reader writes:

"Good 4 her. One hundred percent correct. Ive seen it in many families, where the phone becomes the boss, instead of the parent. Cant talk to your child. Can't get their cooperation. Total addiction. It becomes impossible to run a decent household. Mine are grown. But if I were unfortunate enough to have small kids today there would be no I Phones in house until age eighteen, and/or graduation. Screen time would be limited to one hour daily. Play a sport, study an instrument. Gossip on social media will not get you a job... nor into college."

When I retired, getting rid of that phone was the most wonderful thing!

I was called, texted, emailed from early in the morning till all of the installs were completed at the end of the day. It was always trouble-shooting, solving problems, etc. I had no idea how stressful it was until it stopped and I marveled at the peace.

We already know that spending too much time on these things is unhealthy. I’m just waiting for the class-action lawyers to figure out that these computer guys are an bigger gold mine than the tobacco companies. And the truth is, everything the tobacco companies were accused of; marketing to children, manipulating the product to make it addictive, misleading about the science; the computer guys are guilty of all of it.

It could get interesting.

I agree that they are a serious problem for kids - can’t live with em, can’t live without em. But the solution is PARENTING, not destroying the phones. Even in your example, there was a list of appropriate restrictions.

Parenting: it’s not P.C.

So just where does her shirt “expose her undergarments?” You are REALLY stretching your nit-picking!

Destroying the phones is part of parenting.

You may not approve but you are not their parent.

If you watch the video, it’s rather unsightly when she lifts her arm and her sleeve hole is very large, exposing a fair bit. I’m not nit-picking. As I said, I feel for her and think many parents would like to remove these gadgets from their children’s lives. I’m thankful my kids were born and raised before this electronic invasion.

With a rifle? Perfect aim? Looks like she’s got a shotgun in the pictures.

Actually you need to go back to true parenting (when just parents and relatives and close neighbors were the ONLY ones who controlled the ideas and worldview of their children along with the Natural world (reality). Any person who had “access” to the”thinking” of their children were “friends” and people of virtue—if the parents were good Christian parents.

The Marxists understood the power of “radio” and “marketing of ideas to the masses to control ideas” by 1910 with Eddy Bernays (Freud’s nephew) and the super-elite satanists poured millions into all MSM to control all the publishers/CEOs of every magazine-—every idea that was pumped into the “home”—to undermine parental control over the minds and formation of worldview of their children.

It is just that slippery slope-—of Fichte’s wet dream of 1810-—to be able to control millions in a centralized manner-—so that you can have complete control over the minds of the masses (shaping every single desire without interference of “parents” (pure Marxism)-—to the point of total irrationality (removed completely from Reality/Natural world/Natural family (institutionalized—skools—group think factories for embedding slavery).

Children will be made so irrational and so devoid of human emotions (even Natural sexual identity formation) that they will literally believe a man is a woman or the most bizarre, evil unnatural concept (like two males sodomizing each other is “love”, flipping 5000 years of natural instincts.

Vice creates slaves; the irrational/lies destroys Free Will (true choice/Reason). Truth/Reality/Natural Laws are erased completely from the minds of children with fundamental lies, that good is evil, humans are commodities—and all Western Civ is erased (Christianity/Age of Reason/Indivdiualism) back to the serf-tribal minds where “group-think”/emotions ruled everything-—including the “Justice” systems-—where the masses were always just slaves for a super-corrupt elite.

Knowledge is Power——and Christian parents in Western Civilization used to value instilling virtue (wisdom) in their children-—and the State (elites) has an interest in keeping the masses very dumb and immoral and literally destroying virtue formation in children-—to create a flourishing State system of total control.

Destroying the phones is part of parenting. You may not approve but you are not their parent.

My point is that proper parenting in the first place would have avoided the necessity of destroying hundreds of dollars worth of phones - which the parent bought and then wasted. In addition, proper parenting doesn't include a public shaming of the children on the net, a Pontius Pilot washing of hands through acted out drama and implication, that - guaranteed - created permanent hatred in the children, not because of the loss of the phones, but because of the public disgrace without any means for the children to eventually save face from it by changing their behavior. That woman is no mother, and no parent. She's just an angry, foul-mouthed breeder who's pets aren't behaving the way she wants them to. She's disgusting. The purpose of the video was not to teach those children, just to hurt them - permanently. You don't even know what you're looking at.
