(CNSNews.com) - White House Science Advisor John Holdren says because of the impacts of climate change, agricultural and construction workers “will basically be unable to control their body temperature and will die.”
“In some parts of the world, when you look more broadly at this question, you see the likelihood that in the hottest times of the year it will be simply physiologically impossible to work outdoors,” Holdren said at a White House event on climate change Monday.
“That means agriculture, that means construction, people who try to work outdoors will basically be unable to control their body temperature and will die. This is a really, really big deal. And it’s going to be a big deal in the hottest parts of the United States as well as the Middle East, in South Asia and other places.”

Construction workers out here in Calif start at 6am and finish by 2 (noon for roofers). I come in from the corrals by 1, have a little siesta along with the barn animals, and go back down about sunset to feed. My orchard grass grower works his fields nights and very early mornings, too. I doubt much will change as long as the water keeps flowing through the Arizona Misters. Aggies are very adaptable.
Since 1850 the worldwide temperature has gone up less than 1 degree. Why do these jackasses keep telling us symptoms and not how to live with it.

This dumbass needs to come to work with me this summer. Working outside in SW AZ from mid May to Mid Oct is no picnic but we get the job done. We take great pride in our ability to deal with the heat. Hell, after 105 it’s just a number!
