(CNSNews.com) - White House Science Advisor John Holdren says because of the impacts of climate change, agricultural and construction workers will basically be unable to control their body temperature and will die.
In some parts of the world, when you look more broadly at this question, you see the likelihood that in the hottest times of the year it will be simply physiologically impossible to work outdoors, Holdren said at a White House event on climate change Monday.
That means agriculture, that means construction, people who try to work outdoors will basically be unable to control their body temperature and will die. This is a really, really big deal. And its going to be a big deal in the hottest parts of the United States as well as the Middle East, in South Asia and other places.

“Wonder why people are still alive around the equator??????”
Been there. They have construction. They play sports outside. Amazing..
Well wouldnt it make sense that if all the farmers die, we all die??? Just sayin.
Why do we need farms when we have Monsanto?
Take your choice - rich eliteists peddling climate change or Obama’s ISIS. I’ll take my chances with climate change...
hahahahaha
the farmers in their air-conditioned tractor/ combine / truck cabs....????
hahahahaha
Yeah, me too...They also farm... How do they do it???
Pyschopaths. We are ruled by the insane.
So spare me the concern troll gibberish about the horrors of a one-tenth-of-a-degree "heat wave."
Oh Nooooooo !
* they also go after the best and the brightest first . . .;)
Fortunately I am immune to Dihydrogen monoxide, and I try to get rid of as much of it as I can. I flavor it with malt and hops, to cleanse the palate.
What a bunch of junk science. Even if the temperature was to rise the U.S. temperature would rise to what it is around the equator today. And people still work in construction and farming around the equator.
Rigghhtttt, "Experts".
I'm considered an expert in my field and have testified in courtrooms. One of the first lessons you learn from being an "expert" is that any of them can be wrong and that they are being paid to give an opinion that is favorable to their client. It's completely biased. I don't even trust experts...lol
Seems like the WH might have considered doing something about jobs so the homeless would not be caught outdoors.
Sunbathers hardest hit...
It is also a useful solvent.
Looking at this guy’s past, what he wants to do is population control.
These people are insignificant...Until election time...
Science requires data.
Show us the UNALTERED data.
I got stuck many a July day stacking bales in a tin roofed barn. Getting out of there and relaxing in the mere 100° outside temp was a real treat. Never drank more and peed less in my life!
