Out of politeness, I didn't respond earlier, but come on guys! It's basic common core math.

A year is 365 days (okay, 366 in a leap year, but 366=365 in common core). We passed that more than two months ago, so we're more than 60 days below 365.

So in Roman numerals, that is CCCXXXXXXV minus XXXXXX.
Cross out the Xs that pair up: CCCXXXXXXV minus XXXXXX.
That leaves you CCCV days left, but that was more than a week ago that we passed two months from one year away, so you take VII days away from your remaining CCCV.

So in Roman numerals, that is CCCV minus VII.
Cross out the Vs that pair up: CCCV minus VII.

Now you have just CCC minus II days. But you cannot write a subtraction sentence to take II away from C, so you take a C and regroup it as ten Xs.
