In perfect tabloid fashion one can expect this time in a contentious election cycle (remember Herman Cain), supermarket tabloid The National Enquirer decided to fabricate a sex scandal about Ted Cruz that could be the plot for a sequel to Eyes Wide Shut if it weren't so unbelievable.

They should start asking where are the Cruz people?
There should have been a spokesperson on this hours ago.
They’ve all gone silent.
Donald has long been boastful of his many affairs between his marriages. He’s never denied them.
Which ever woman Gateway Pundit identified and asked about it. She categorically denied it to them. I don’t have the identity of any of them except one appears to be Trumps current Press spokesperson. Should be quite easy to just ask her too, right?
Amanda posted 12 minutes ago that she was going to be CNN and was immediately pummeled
Oh yes, those famous lines from “Wham-Bam-Thank-You-Ma’am-I-Am”.
“Donald has long been boastful of his many affairs between his marriages. Hes never denied them.”
True, and unlike Cruz or most others, he probably could get away with bragging about that in verse, as suggested:
And I will $!@&# them in the rain.
And in the dark. And on a train.
And in a car. And in a tree.
They are so good, so good, you see!
Pierson has issued some sort of comment about not believing in tabloid trash. Only denial so far. Ben Shapiro stating that, if it was true, he’d dump Cruz in a heartbeat but is VERY confident it is not true.
“which has been denied by at least one of the named women”
One of 5? Well hate to remind you but some intern in the 90s denied stuff too, and there are still 4 left.
After the numerous affair scandals that have taken place in DC for the past decades from Clinton, Hastart, Edwards, Kennedy, and many many others, my advice to Cruz fans is to start melting down the phones to his HQ and demand he clears this up, and stop trying to pretend that there is just no way this could possibly be true.
Drew Johnson with the Washington Times.
But smart. Let this play out one way or another. Doesn’t need to get involved.
I too am finding the Cruz threads being pulled, thread after thread......within minutes, seconds
......didn’t expect that to happen here
how was it an “affair” if he was between marriages? Most people would call that dating.
Yet GatewayPundit wouldn’t release the name of the person issuing the denial.
And at least one of LBJ's scandals--pre-Twitter--got tremendous gossip attention (where his chief of staff was arrested in a public place in a homosexual act with another man)--certainly more serious than the common affairs that JFK had had with scores of women, that went unreported at the time.
You either stand against this form of journalism; or you accede to "brave new world," in which nothing is private.
My concern with this, also, goes to the damage this intrusion of cheap gossip into the campaign, can do to our chances in November. I think Trump will get the nomination, but we will still need the Cruz voters in the event, and this sort of garbage will sour some on even voting in the fall.
Tonight I [Jim Hoft] reached out to one of the suspected "mistresses."Woman Identified as Ted Cruz "Mistress" in National Enquirer Says It's 'Not True' - The Gateway Pundit
Here is her response:
It's ridiculous. Anyone with half a brain knows it's false... I don't think the article is true. I can't see Cruz being like that... All I know is it's not me. There's a reason they don't use my name. They know it's BS.
I’m not sure. Make no mistake, FR has the right to pull whichever articles they wish. There is no “censorship” in a private entity like FR. But I, like many, don’t necessarily understand the logic.
“Pierson has issued some sort of comment about not believing in tabloid trash. Only denial so far”
A denial would be “No, these people are lying. Of course I never did any of that stuff with Cruz!”.
Unless these people have no ability to be direct, then they are digging a deeper hole.
