This month, about half (47 percent) of Republican female primary voters said they could not imagine themselves voting for Trump. (About 40 percent of male GOP primary voters said the same.) Compare that to their relative willingness to accept Trump's rivals. Only about three in ten female Republican voters say they can't imagine backing Ted Cruz (32 percent) and John Kasich (27 percent). The poll, which was taken before Marco Rubio exited the presidential race, also showed that only 30 percent of GOP women couldn't imagine backing the Florida senator.

It does not have to be Trump.
And it better not be Trump if you want to win.
There are many polls showing Trump losing to Hillary while Ted Cruz beats her.
If there were a single poll showing Trump beating Hillary, I imagine it would have been posted here numerous times.
And Trump’s numbers are stagnant or dropping while Ted’s continue to rise.
Trump is a mensch. He has quite a few female supporters, here and elsewhere. I’m one of them.
Is there any point to that?
Is Clinton on the ballot?
Do you admire Clinton?
I think Clinton actually liked women at least more than Trump does.
What’s with this ‘so what’ about everything?
Trump doesn’t have a problem with this gal ... Or any of my female friends ... I think we really do need to learn more about Heidi since she’s billing herself as a two-fer the price of one candidate. I’d like to know about her plans for America before we end up with another Hillary or Michelle for a First Lady.
Republicans since Reagan have ALWAYS had a 15% gender gap, and every election the press acts as if its a new phenomena.
If that were true, Hillary would have lost her Senate elections easily.
You're projecting your own preferences on others, and assuming that other people "secretly" think as you do. I've seen many, many times where a majority of women will have the exact opposite reaction you're claiming here. Whether it's because they secretly resent that the Alpha Male of their dreams never wanted them, or whatever, a lot of women affirmatively dislike that kind of guy except in the very limited context of a romantic relationship.
So unless the majority of women are stupid enough to think that voting for Trump means they'll get to have a romantic relationship with him, I suspect your logic will not hold true.
And not only that, but Trump will be 70 by the election. Whatever animal magnetism he may still have isn't going to be effective on the vast majority of women half his age and younger. To them, he's "creepy old guy".
Because he's winning a fraction of a fraction. These polls don't say that zero percent of women would support Trump. Just a whole lot fewer say they will support him than say they will not.
Trump has many female groupies who have no idea of what he thinks about women or how much he will care about the groupies if he doesn’t need their votes any more.
Heidi is doing no such thing and you cannot find any evidence that she is.
Trump dragged her into this because he is a jerk.

Maybe Women will view Teddy differently when they see his ‘Murder Gays’ friend.
Women like an alpha male.
He’ll do better than the polls may indicate.
It’s not so much Trump ... it’s the women... they have become feminists .. they are against anything and anyone they cannot control. They’d bow to obama because he is one of them. Trump did not come from that stem. Most men have been trained to not ruffle the feminist feathers.. Trump did not get that message.
Feminist are so ugly.. pardon me, for being rude... but I know one .. I dearly love her.. but she does not know how absent her brain is. If I were her mother, she’d grow up really fast.
She likes obama and hillary... and hates Trump.. that is the way they are.... they ignore what all obama has done ... and it doesn’t matter that hillary allowed the deaths of 4 brave men and that she is under investigation... they excuse that... what’s important is abortions, birth control and that no one criticize their lifestyle ... that’s how serious they are in their heads. Maturity will come some day and they’ll wonder why they wasted the good years they once had.
The problem is... they are old enough to vote... brain dead and voting.
I agree.. she needs some scrutiny.. the more I hear Cruz, the more I do not like what I hear.
Speaking of abortions, have you seen the Trump interview in which he is totally for abortions, including partial birth.
You should look it up. It shows his true feelings, even though he pretended to change after deciding to run for president.
Even after pretending to change, he still thinks Planned Parenthood is a good organization.
LOL. You do spout crap. I defy anyone over 3 to even pretend that makes any sense.
As far as hillary winning the US Senate seat, she wasn't against an Alpha, take-charge male. Add to that, we're surrounded by fear of the future, every day. What we feared has happened. Trump passes the "desert island" test of who you feel would protect you.
According to exit polls Hillary’s gender gap with men is larger than Trump’s with women.
Cruz also has a slight gender gap with men.
I’m certainly not left wing and I can’t stand Trump.
Do you seriously think any of those ‘beautiful women’ would have married trump if he was clerking at a 7-11?
And he does not love them. They are trophies to him and he admits it. I’ve seen Trump with Melania in interviews and the body language is very telling. She is afraid of him and he is irritated by her.
If you buy a woman for your trophy case without knowing or loving her, the bloom can get off the rose pretty quickly.
That's exactly what you did right there. Plus, we're not on a desert island, and the things you may fear (rightly) are not the same things every other woman fears.
I work with a fair number of women, and the opinions of Trump vary widely. There are some who take your approach and like that he's aa tough guy. There are more that have a very visceral, gut-level dislike of him. I'm not sure what magic you think is going to happen when they go vote for him, but I can tell you that when the primary election came around here, they all went to vote for Hillary, not Trump.
