In the wake of the attacks in Brussels, Ted Cruz said in part:
Donald Trump is wrong that America should withdraw from the world and abandon our allies. Donald Trump is wrong that American should retreat from Europe, retreat from NATO, hand Putin a major victory and while hes at it hand ISIS a major victory.
Trumpsters, of course, took Cruzs comments as a personal insult to Trump, saying that Cruz blamed Trump for the Islamic terror attack in Brussels.
Pro-Putin conspiracy theorists InfoWars posted a video quoting Cruz saying It is striking that the day after Donald Trump called for weakening NATO, withdrawing from NATO, we see Brussels, where NATO is headquartered, the subject of a radical Islamic terror attack.
The video left out the rest of Cruzs quote stating that Trump is wrong that American should retreat from Europe, retreat from NATO, hand Putin a major victory and while hes at it hand ISIS a major victory.

... Lyin’ Trumpsters.
Their world view is bizarre, like an alternate reality. Facts don’t matter, only the promotion of their hero. I am glad not to be so affected. Congrats to you too, we avoided the koolaid.
Like I said “Facts are irrelevant. What matters is what the Trum-pets think.”
Add craven, sneaky opportunist to that list and you have it pretty much covered. I’ve never been so disgusted.
The hell he didn’t. Greasy piece of snake-handling slime. FUTC.
Trump is in cahoots with KGB Putin in his scheme to basically restore the Soviet Union, or something similar to it. It's as obvious as the Trumpsters are ignorant on the issue.
"...a panel of eastern European leaders lined up to add their own accusations of Russian aggression.
"Every single day, Russian troops, Russian weapons, Russian ammunition penetrate into my country," said Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko.
He addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was not present, saying:
"Mr Putin, this is not a civil war in Ukraine, this is your aggression. This is not a civil war in Crimea, this is your soldiers who occupied my country."
Russia has stepped up its military maneuvers to a level unseen since the height of the Cold War, according to a new report released by NATO Thursday.
Jens Stoltenberg, the alliance's secretary general and author of the report, noted that Moscow has conducted at least 18 large-scale exercises over the past three years, "some of which have involved more than 100,000 troops."
Those exercises included several simulated nuclear attacks against NATO allies and partner nations ..."
The next commander in chief will face a stark reality: for eight years, President Obama systematically drained resources from our armed services. It will no longer matter why or how he did it. All that will matter is what happens next.
While President Obama may have been hoping that unilateral disarmament on the part of the United States would result in similar behavior from other major powers, the opposite has happened. Both China and Russia are engaged in significant military buildups and aggressive behavior from Ukraine to Syria to the South China Sea.
Iran, which had been restrained by one of the most punishing economic sanctions regimes in history, is now on a $100 billion military shopping spree primarily at the Russian arms industry checkout counter courtesy of the American president. ..."
Trump: Well, I think our country does plenty of killing also, Joe, so, you know. There's a lot of stupidity going on in the world right now, Joe. Lot of killing going on, a lot of stupidity, and that's the way it is.

"I think that I would probably get along with him [Putin] very well."
--Donald Trump, CBS' Face The Nation, Oct 2015 <
It was that and oily and creepy and really ghoulish. He must have put his shovel down for the interview. Freaking Uriah Heep.
Okay continue to live in Fantasy Land all you want.
EVERYONE KNOWS... Cruz blamed Trump for the terrorist attacks in Brussels.
You implied it quite clearly.
As for the rest of your dribble, deflection is the obvious troll technique, please try harder.
You sure are one deceived individual. Ted is the only Constitutional Conservative huh? Seems like he has no problem trampling on Trump’s 1st amendment Rights, nor does he have a problem with the fact tthat he isn’t a natural born citizen either. He’;s a liar, phony and fraud. Sucks to be you with your head stuck up your butt.
Does your CO know your spent most of the day posting CDS crap on FR? Is that a good use of the taxpayer’s money? Perhaps you should change your handle to “Astro McAstroturf” because that’s what you and your partners are doing.
Not surprisingly, Vladimir Putin also wants NATO to go away.
Two totally different statements that have nothing to do with the other, unless you want to leave out the rest of what Trump said....for some reason.
He also stated that the NATO members need to step up and do more that they rely on us too much.....but including that wouldn't fit your agenda now, would it?
That's the problem with zealots on wither side, they star becoming disingenuous to bolster their arguments...aka, lying.
Might help if Europe quit inviting in the enemy too...but that's just me.
Oh goodie, the spam king is back.
Trump did not say we should get out of it. He said the other member countries that benefit more directly from it than we do are paying relatively little and should pay more. I agree. Look at what each country in NATO contributes and remember that the bottom line is NATO exists to defend Europe. European countries should care more than we do about funding the defense of it. Norway, which you mentioned, spends 1.4% of its GDP and some NATO countries spend less than 1% of their GDP on defense. We spend 3.5% of our GDP on defense. I think it is more than OK to ask them to kick in a bit more on their own defense.
Are we doing any anti-terrorist fighting in Europe? Nope. The threat is Putin if anyone really thinks that is a threat.
I have no agenda except to vote 100% pro-life. Not even DT will stop the wrath of God unless he signs a law written by congress making all abortion illegal. The Biblical consequence for national child sacrifice is invasion and conquest.
