In the wake of the attacks in Brussels, Ted Cruz said in part:
Donald Trump is wrong that America should withdraw from the world and abandon our allies. Donald Trump is wrong that American should retreat from Europe, retreat from NATO, hand Putin a major victory and while hes at it hand ISIS a major victory.
Trumpsters, of course, took Cruzs comments as a personal insult to Trump, saying that Cruz blamed Trump for the Islamic terror attack in Brussels.
Pro-Putin conspiracy theorists InfoWars posted a video quoting Cruz saying It is striking that the day after Donald Trump called for weakening NATO, withdrawing from NATO, we see Brussels, where NATO is headquartered, the subject of a radical Islamic terror attack.
The video left out the rest of Cruzs quote stating that Trump is wrong that American should retreat from Europe, retreat from NATO, hand Putin a major victory and while hes at it hand ISIS a major victory.

But Cruz, true to form was still lying. The story is from yesterday.
“Trump says U.S. should spend less on NATO”

BTW, I think Trump is correct. If you look at how much each country contributes, I think it is fair that we should pay less and the European countries that it mostly benefits should pay more.
This guy just lied to everyone on his blog..he omitted the part when Cruz said that Donald Trump wants to withdraw from Nato. Check the video
Ted Cruz’s supporters lie as much as he does....amazing.
The whole purpose of you posting this just went down the tubes.
I don’t really know, but that would make sense if it were true.
It’s similar to a lot of those who claimed the sleazeball didn’t really side with moveon.org about the Chicago free speech shut down.
“So yes, sure. Cruz doesnt use the words Donald Trump is to blame, but...”
But you are so smart you know that is what he meant, because Trump must be protected, and the best way to do that is to lie about Cruz.
“So Teddy bear border boy didnt lie, he parsed. Typical.”
Reminiscent of his “yes but” pseudo-condemnation of the fascists in Chicago.
I notice that the author did not include the quote (dramatic pauses included),
“Well I will say...(sigh)...It is striking...That the day after...Donald Trump called for America weakening NATO, withdrawing from NATO....We see Brussels, where NATO is headquartered...The subject of a radical, islamic, terrorist attack.”
He actually did, my bad.
He should know it, considering the view of it from where his head is lodged.
The Neocon elites want perpetual warfare but allowing the enemy to keep coming into the country. It's all by design and I'm glad that Trump isn't playing that game anymore.
I watched the maggot live. He took a shot at Trump while bodies were still lying on the ground. Ted has a clear pattern here of saying the worst at the worst time.
My problem is not that Ted overtly blamed Trump.
My problem is that:
A. He made a political statement of any sort before the bodies were cold, and
B. Twisted Trump’s statements about NATO members pulling their weight into a ‘withdrawal’, again before the bodies were cold
C. Intentionally drew an association between Trump’s policy and the risk of such attacks, again, as bodies remained well above room temperature.
I find it distasteful.

I listened to Ted on O’Reilly tonight and literally cringed multiple times. I am having trouble staying with him as acceptable.
For example, as a lawyer Ted knows words matter and words have meaning. Just engage him in a conversation about the word “infringed” in 2A. A topic on which he is correct. Now enter my world - “carpet bomb” has a meaning, and even after discussing the matter with Bill, he still went back to the phrase, even when he admits what he means is not the phrase he’s using.
That left me with only one impression: the phrase “carpet bomb” has been field tested and/or focus group vetted, and regardless of the true meaning of the phrase he’s going to use it because it’s been deemed effective, even if when he explains his position he is not actually advocating actual “carpet bombing”. That’s problematic for my impression of a man who is trying to sell himself as the un-politician.
Figures. Trump people take any criticism of him personally, and as an attack on him. Sheeesh.
After Ted! does his daily (hourly?) rant on something Trump never really said or did, I’ve noticed it takes his apologists like Levin a few hours to get the talking points together to explain to us what we REALLY heard Ted say.
Uh huh....
It is striking, on the day after Donald Trump called for America weakening NATO, withdrawing from NATO we see Brussels, where NATO is headquartered, the subject of a radical Islamic terrorist attack
Damn well he came as close as possible:
Of course Cruz did not blame Trump for the Muslim terrorists’ attacks. Nor did he blame Trump for the Chicago protesters’ violence. But some Trump supporters do not let facts get in the way of their CDS.
Was Eddie Haskell born in Canada, too?
