In the wake of the attacks in Brussels, Ted Cruz said in part:
“Donald Trump is wrong that America should withdraw from the world and abandon our allies. Donald Trump is wrong that American should retreat from Europe, retreat from NATO, hand Putin a major victory and while he’s at it hand ISIS a major victory.”
Trumpsters, of course, took Cruz’s comments as a personal insult to Trump, saying that Cruz “blamed” Trump for the Islamic terror attack in Brussels.
Pro-Putin conspiracy theorists InfoWars posted a video quoting Cruz saying “It is striking that the day after Donald Trump called for weakening NATO, withdrawing from NATO, we see Brussels, where NATO is headquartered, the subject of a radical Islamic terror attack.”
The video left out the rest of Cruz’s quote stating that Trump is “wrong that American should retreat from Europe, retreat from NATO, hand Putin a major victory and while he’s at it hand ISIS a major victory.”

This is the biggest lie I’ve seen yet on Free Republic.
No sane or rational person can listen to what Cruz said and take away from it that he blamed Trump for the Belgium attack.
It is so far beyond the pale it is lower than most Democrat attacks. Not because Democrats are more moral, but because even they recognize when saying something destroys their own credibility.
But the Cruz haters here throw away all logic, reason, common sense, honesty, integrity, and morality.
Even back in the days when the evolutionists wanted to make this forum the place to beat their dead horse, I never saw the kind of nastiness I see right now. I have to believe many of these guys are plants by Planned Parenthood and NARAL. There just isn’t an honest bone in their body.
They will repeat these nasty, Goebbels style lies like they did so many others. But this one is by far the worst, most obvious lie I have seen so far.
The anti-Cruzers here are more filthy, disgusting, vile, dishonest, and nasty than anything on the DU. At least over there, they admit to being enemies of conservatism. Here they just play the role of Benedict Arnold.
They belong in the same category with Planned Parenthood, NARAL, GLAAD, ACLU, ADL, ACORN, and the endless list of enemies of conservatism.

Actually there are many who used to believe Cruz and no longer do; he makes a habit of things like this.
I’m not on medication and do not need to be. But if I SOUND like I’m ranting, it is only because I AM RANTING.
And it is NOT a sign of insanity. It is what a sane person does in an insane world.
Otherwise I could RELAX and stay CALM like you, because it is okay to people like you that babies are murdered by the millions. It is okay with people like you, when a woman was thrown in JAIL because she refused to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples. It is okay with people like you that multiple business owners have been ordered by courts to pay massive fines for refusing to participate in such ceremonies. It is okay with people like you baby body parts are being sold, and the investigative journalists who exposed this were charged with a crime rather than the baby killers. It is okay with people like you that the Democrats AND the Republicans renewed the funding of Billions of tax dollars for these murderers. It is okay with people like you that the leading REPUBLICAN presidential candidate called these same people “wonderful”.

Cruz DID subtly say that if Trump’s (alleged plan to disengage from NATO) were followed, that more attacks of these sorts may follow.

I support Trump too. Welcome to the club. I just happen to prefer Cruz a little more.
What I do not support is the continuous lying and nastiness of the anti-Cruz crowd here. Many of them signed up in the past year and have done almost nothing but post attacks on Cruz. Why?
I have criticisms of Trump and Cruz, but they are the two best candidates in the race.
Supporting one over the other does not warrant the kind of nasty, lying attacks that are going on here.
Supporting Trump does not make you or any other supporter in the same camp as Planned Parenthood and NARAL, but slandering and lying about Cruz continuously, even when the attacks have been exposed as wrong, is no different than attacks of the left. They HATE Cruz. Why do Trump supporters feel the need to attack the most conservative candidate in the race? Maybe because they are merely fiscal conservatives who do not care about babies being murdered, and Christians being fined and jailed for their beliefs.
The fact that the idea of being associated with this offends you means you are probably not the guilty party. But I have said similar things for months now, and most of the Cruz attackers do not bother to argue how they are against abortion or homosexual marriage. They simply ignore this and change the subject.
Keep in mind that Planned Parenthood actually spends money on political campaigns. How much is being used to target people like Ted Cruz who has a 0% NARAL rating? How many people on Free Republic are PAID to post negative stuff about Cruz? How much of this money comes from Planned Parenthood? If you think there is no one posting on this forum on behalf of Planned Parenthood, you are naive. They know about Free Republic. They know about Ted Cruz.
