These are the Defense Ministers for the following NATO countries....Italy’,Albania, the Netherlands, Germany and Norway.
No wonder Putin is laughing.
There is a picture of the Russian Defense Minister and he looks like a bear on the prowl. Tough looking man.
Girls just wanna have fun.
Yep. We are so screwed.
Which of course is anathema to the Social Justice Warriors, who don't want the 'patient to get well.' Which is why they really, really hate Trump.
Which ones would those be?
It’s disgusting.
Let me guess...another obama butt-kisser.
Good that he reaches across the isle so much. /s
More because it's FR. There is a core of individuals around here who can't accept that a woman might rise on merit.
In 1939 Russia attempted to invade Finland and initially suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of much smaller and less-equipped Finnish forces. It took them three months to finally prevail.
Many believe that this was due to Stalin’s 1937 Great Purge of the Russian military. Thousands of experienced officers were replaced with political operatives and clueless hacks loyal to Stalin.
Somehow this comes to mind every time I hear about Obama replacing a high-level officer for some petty offense and installing some “protected class” member in their place.
There no 5 stars anywhere in the US...
Actually there zero five-stars in the US military and the rank was retired after Omar Bradly died.
I have a feeling if things continue the way they are the PRC will kick our ares.
... or a black. But, when affirmative action biases the promotion, one doesn't know how much is merit and how much is action, and there's a predisposition to doubt.
Not sure why you put command in quotes, but currently she’s in charge of the AF in all of the Pacific which includes Alaska, Korea, Japan, Hawaii, and Guam.
Why? Most qualified? Affirmative action? Political correctness? Men and women are the same - no differences?
Or Obama is the smartest man alive and knows what is best?
Or when Hitler thought “National Socialists” would do a better job than his old-school Prussian Generals with the “vons” in their names.
That is, has been and always will be the case. the short-sighted do-gooders that make this stuff the law of the land either don't understand this, or don't give a damn.
I will never forget what my father, a doctor, told me at the time of the Bakke decision (when I was about 17):
"This decision is very bad news for this country. It means that a lot of people who are not the best will be entering medical school because of the color of their skin, not their abilities. The schools will not dare flunk them - so these people will become doctors. On the other hand, there will be a lot of extremely talented minority students who become doctors, they will be among the best - but you will never know which of them are good or bad. So, if you find a minority doctor who is 10 or more years older than you, he or she will have gotten in purely on merit, and DESPITE prejudice - pick them if you want to, they'll be good at what they do. But for those that are younger, you will have no idea if they are good or not - so avoid them. I hate to say this, but pick the white doctor, particularly the white male doctor - he definitely got in to med school because he deserved to be there. THIS is what those liberal idiots have done to this country, and to the minorities that they claim to try to be helping."
As you can see, I've never forgotten what he said. Regrettably, the minority doctors who got into med school before Bakke are retired or soon to be retired. I am forced, as a matter of self-preservation, to be prejudiced in how I pick a doctor for myself and my family. THAT is the legacy of "affirmative action" - MORE prejudice, not less. THAT is the legacy of government interference in normal commerce. It is sickening to me - I really couldn't give a rat's ass what color or background someone has when I pick a doctor or someone else to perform services for me, I just want the best. My own grandfather was subjected to a lot of prejudice (we're Jewish), and could not get into med school anywhere except at the University of Maryland - and he was his high school's valedictorian and did extremely well in college and on his med school entrance exam (called the MCAT today). Well, he was a superb doctor - because to get in he had to be MUCH better than his non-Jewish classmates. FYI, he studied for and passed the Florida medical boards at age 70 - 44 years after graduating med school. He was STILL smarter than a lot of the med school students, even then. So, with that as part of my family's background, I HATE to be prejudiced...but the libs forced me to be, with their empty-headed utopianism.
Not a pilot, and no combat experience. She’s perfect to run the air force in the entire Pacific.
“There no 5 stars anywhere in the US...”
You’ll have to wait for another world war to get a 5-star, and I don’t know if Congress will have time to approve the nomination before most cities are reduced to radioactive slag.
