Am taking a travel vacation to visit friends up and down the Eastern seaboard. Any tips on what to avoid and not to avoid? Haven't been down that way in years.

Come to Baltimore hon. See where the Battle of 1812 took place and where the Star Spangled Banner was written. And get seafood.

Don't miss Yorktown and Williamsburg Virginia. I lived in Yorktown years ago, I am sure things have changed but the old stuff will be the same.

Come to Montana instead. And then go home and tell everyone it sucks.
It’s getting damned crowded here already.

My neighbor boy is in school there at U MT. He tells me it is beautiful. Someday... I would love to. Saving up for a tiny travel trailer, so I can see the whole of North America.

The Circle Line Tour is a wonderful boat tour around Manhattan. I always take guests on it and always love it. Nice way to see the city from a different view, and the guide explains everything as you circle the entire island, as well as a motor by the Statue of Liberty.

Disregard that noise. 301 parallels 95. It is the old route, so traffic lights and small towns. When 95 jams up, everyone offs to 301 for a few exits to bypass the jam.

Yes Yes Yes!!!! Come to Savannah! Spend money!
Don’t bother with Paula Deen’s place. Eat at Mrs Wilkes Boarding House instead. MUCH Better food.
Right now, the sand gnats are pretty awful, but, OFF Active Orange scent works quite well on them.
And you’ve missed St. Patrick’s Day here. With what is going on in New York, it’s the bigest SPD parade in America now.
Need more info? PM me. I help tourist for a living.

Last time I looked, which was a year or so ago, no transportation of firearms allowed intrastate. Don't stop for gas or lunch. Interstate, it's Federal law, but MD requires your firearm to be locked (in the trunk or out of reach in my case), ammunition to be locked separately. I suppose you could argue whether the ammunition has to be locked separately. I travel a lot, and usually rely on
Handgun Law US. Not as much for legal advice as what places to avoid.
Maryland is one. Essentially you can't transport a firearm intrastate at all. And if you have a concealed carry permit, from the aforementioned site, but you can find the same info in many places
Notice: Maryland has a unit called, Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center. They have license plate reader cameras around the state that read license plates of vehicles. Some are connected to Criminal Background Check programs and Permit/License Holder lists from the different states that will supply them with that information. Do use caution when even driving through Maryland. They can know if you have a firearms permit/license without even stopping you. Other States most likely have a similar system.
Given their geographic location, I've heard they particularly look for Florida permits, which many people have.

I have never been there but always wanted to visit St. Augustine.
Go on down A1A to Daytona. Do a free tour of the Speedway then drive 20 min south to New Smyrna. Have a beer at the Breakers on the beach and dinner at the Garlic. You may never leave.

We visited Maryland last summer and went to Aberdeen. They moved all the tanks away :(
