One of my students gave me a $15.00 gift card to WF.

I was able to purchase a one pound tob of crumbled feta cheese.

Having grown up in a Greek Neighborhood, I can remember walking into a corner market and buying incredible olives, pickles, Marinated Vegetables, and various cheeses from white 5 gallon buckets lined up at the counter.

$15.00 would have fed me for a week! :-)

In Hollywood when you go to Whole Foods you get pestered in the parking lot by wackos with petitions to kill babies and further the goals of perverts and such. I told one of them that I wasn’t a California resident and therefore it was against the law for me to sign it. Of course she insisted that I do. And then once in Salt Lake I was there and the guy at the checkstand got very angry at ne because I wouldn’t give any $ to whatever the latest mooching jar was at the register. WF is where you go to find arrogant wackos and tease them.

I go there occasionally because it’s the only place for a couple of items I use. When I do I wear my “Hillary for Prison 2016” t-shirt. I love to see their brains explode.

We recently got a Sprouts but I’ve not been in there yet. Every time I’m by it they are busy so not for me.

The clomping around of all the Birkenstocks must be annoying.

This is the second post in a few days with a bash on Whole Foods, which last time I checked is a private company that does not force its customers to shop there.

Yeah there a hippy kind of place, and hippies talk hippy talk. A lot of the comments on the website are from customers, and being in retail I know that on a given day customers will say anything.

That being said, we have a Kroger and a Whole Foods across the street from each other. I go to both when I want to. Each has advantages.

I’m a fan of choice.
Go if you value what is there.
If not, buy cheap crap at a major grocery chain.
Everyone happy.

$8 quinoa? Seriously?
I worked with a several people from South America.
They think the American infatuation with quinoa is a bit humorous.

Lot of South Americans refer to quinoa as cattle food.

We have Sprouts in our area now; more of a produce-oriented “natural” store.

I love Sprouts. They don't have as many prepared foods as Whole Paycheck, but I never buy prepared foods anyway. Highest quality, incredible prices.

wholefoods is my emergency go to only... I prefer smaller local markets who sell locally sourced grass fed meat, dairy and eggs. Some supermarkets have started selling grass fed instead of grain fed, but it’s usually overpriced.

WE love Sprouts. Their chicken is like the chicken you used to eat when you were a kid. And cheap. We also love their cream and milk and produce.

City people need to understand where Chipotle is having their problem. On many organic farms, the illegals sheite and pi$$ on you food in the field as they pick it. They may have disease and diarrhea as they come to this country and you are exposed to many forms of filth. They have Porta Potties, but usually don’t slow down long enough to use them and certainly never wash their hands as they handle your food. A quick rinse with water is not good enough for me when you’ve seen what they do. Organic farms many times don’t use modern equipment and methods to harvest and wash their food. You might as well go back to the 1800’s to depend on their methods.

I like to go in and ask where the malt liquor and Slim Jims are.

Actually they sell the best calves liver I have ever tasted. It is cut like a steak.

Never been in a Whole Foods store. Are they as fancy as Save-a-Lot stores?

Our Whole Foods is near Fort Jackson. I see soldiers there all the time among the ponytails of both sexes. No incidents.

I wear my Vietnam Vet cap & no one has called me `babykiller’ yet. It does get me vets’ discount at checkout.

Lots of affluent-looking women with presumably liberal views in WF. Things must be more laid back here in the South.
