I have been listening off and on to the "John & Leah" show tonight on AM 970, starring John Ziegler and Leah Brandon. This Ziegler strikes me as sort of a loose cannon. He spent most of the program tonight talking about why Trump was unelectable and how Trump actually LOST to Hillary in a couple of recent polls.
Does anyone know anything about this guy? Is he blowing smoke?
That’s because WE know how to “count”...as in states that he can win, which knocks out any Dem opponent.
I believe that Ziegler spent most of his time over the past few years defending Penn State and Joe Pa against charges they were complicit in the abuse of players.
Me too, I like his old show.
Ziegler, for people who don’t know, did the Hillary documentary years ago. I am pretty sure this was the one that triggered the Citizens United case.
He has drifted and has not made any other significant docs. He came out against Trump, in part I think to gain affection from the GOPe crowd, which wasn’t particularly fond of CU.
Don’t know who this guy is and I don’t care what he has to say. Most talk shows feel they need to show how “conservative” they are so they bad mouth Trump. Water off a duck’s back.
After the 2008 election Ziegler had an obsession with Palin. He followed her around, and even made an excellent documentary, which he sold on DVD’s, about how the media trashed her during the election. He wanted to become her official advisor, but when she didn’t take him on, he turned on her, and started trashing her.
Polls indicated Trump to win Kansas handily. Results? Cruz wins Kansas.
Polls indicated Trump to win Maine. Results? Cruz wins Maine.
Bottom line is polls are unreliable.
Ziegler is an especially slimy piece of work.
Ask the Palin family about him.
No, you are counting caucuses, which are funky little insider games, not traditional elections.
And yet Cruz can’t make through the primaries. That is a fact
Fraud Causus
How many popular vote States Cruz win that wasn't his home state? 1
So what? Polls before those events predicted Trump wins, did they not? And Trump lost.
If you watch the post-primary election results (most of which are traditional elections) the pundits are constantly referring to, Candidate X won by 9.0% beating what the pre-election polls suggested by 4.0% which is a good sign for the candidate.
I repeat, polls are unreliable.
Does anyone know anything about this guy? Is he blowing smoke?
Which one? Trump or Ziegler?
Good one, best line of the day so far.
How can it be a fact when the primaries aren’t even over yet? You got a crystal ball or something?
Call it a hunch, but I don't think Cruz will win in the North or out West. I was surprised that he didn't win the South.
Is Ziegler the guy who rented the house next to the Palin’s home and proceeded to haunt them and photograph them through the fence?
No, that was Joe McGinniss who was writing an anti-Palin book. Ziegler’s documentary was called Media Malpractice: How 0bama was Elected and Palin was Targeted. It was actually very good. It’s just when she didn’t take his advice, and accept him as her advisor, that he turned on her.
Isn’t Trump the one who made polls the centerpiece of his campaign?
So was Trump.
