Out in the southwest there is another wall like this. Some of the hand prints show six full fingers.
I would not write off that they were human just yet.

Just idle speculation, but, why couldn’t an artistic, although primitive human being, on seeing the tiny foot of a lizard, remark on how human it looked, or the silhouette thereof, and use it to put the stencil of that tiny hand superimposed over the stencil of a REAL human hand?
The contrast would look cool (as the photo shows) and might cause some of the other humans in the band to consider it supernatural.
