If it were me, I’d sue the owner of the phone used to disseminate the pictures that were the result of an invasion of privacy.
I hope 20 years from now the thug kid will still be unable to find a woman willing to marry him. He’s got way too much malice for any decent woman to be stuck with him.
Why do so many people seem to have nekkid pictures of themselves on their phones? Not excusing what the kid did, but carrying around a compromising image of yourself is just asking for trouble...Never mind somebody stealing it, you yourself could accidentally send it to someone, upload it to somewhere, show it to someone when you’re trying to show off pictures of your new puppy...
Union is a small town. Everyone she knows has either seen the photos or knows about them. Why wasn’t this brat expelled?
1. Don’t leave your phone on the desk.
2. Don’t leave your phone unlocked.
3. Get a good lawyer and sue everybody.
If you don’t want something spread around don’t put it on your phone or your computer. Just look at the mess Hitlery is in without photos.

1) Not sure of the need for nude photos
2) Teacher is really dumb to store nudes on phone
3) Really stupid to not have phone secured with passcode (given 2) — you wouldn’t take a manila folder full of nude printed photos to school so why a phone with nudes?
4) Kid is worse than a peeping Tom, because most peeping Tom’s don’t take pictures and distribute them

The district said Arthur had nude photos of herself on her phone and a student took her phone while she was out of the room. The student then took photos of the nude images.The student then shared the photo throughout the school.
That'll learn her about opsec and security. Don't do that stuff, or lock down the device.

The school had no cause to ask for her resignation. There was no policy about materials on her phone. She clearly proved it was the kids fault. She is married and there is no indication they were intended for any other purpose.

My guess is the settlement will be at least for what she would have made over the next thirty years. Plus attorney fees.

What’s the matter with people that they carry naked pictures of themselves around on their phones? AFAIC that’s evidence of moral depravity and grounds for dismissal. I wouldn’t want the woman teaching my kids.
