As far as I can tell, Donald Trump is an unprincipled vulgarian. He would make a big show of deporting illegal aliens, only to "let the good ones back in." He supports single-payer healthcare. Before he flipped on the issue, he wanted to admit tens of thousands of Syrian "refugees." He has very un-American strongman tendencies.
Yet he's leading in the Republican primaries. So please help me understand: How would President Trump be better than, say, President Cruz?
And Trump is better than Cruz how? Cruz ran on the wall in 2011 senate run. He has been consistent while Trump is all over the map. Cruz is the real anti-establishment candidate.
Your hit on Cruz is a grain of sand compared to Trump’s recent changes from progressive to republican. My joy if Trump wins ——watching what he would really do and seeing if you are still fans. He is an excellent politician promising to work with the far left. You guys want someone who fights like a liberal and you are voting for a liberal who fights like a liberal.
‘He’ will not personally do much to effect change in any of those areas, except paint the broad strokes.
Trump is going to put highly competent, no BS people in key positions to get things done as they see fit (consistent with the Consititution and applicable laws).
The Congress will be whipped into shape and start to exercise their Constitutional powers to turn this country around. The Congress will be compelled to act because millions upon millions of Americans will demand nothing less.
True, by himself, Mr. Trump cannot do much. But will have the people, the Congress, the Governors all behind him. The rest will come around eventually.
Believe me, the Sleeping Giant has been awakened.
You should apologize to JR for wasting electrons.
Give it up, lu.
Don’t you need to go check on your buds over at Conservative CRybabies?
And hasn't mentioned it since. Why?
It's not Trumps fault that Cruz dropped that ball
“Cruz is real.”
Only real people are born in Canada.
—So now we find out that Trump hires foreign workers for his business in Florida, this while he talks of bringing back jobs, go figure.—
They are seasonal jobs. Permanent resident Floridians want full-time year round jobs, or no jobs at all. Trump brings in the foreign workers, legally, for the seasonal jobs. Then they go home.
Cruz and Trump are not mutually exclusive in the grand scheme of things. We need everyone who stands up and fights for this country and its freedoms. Trump just has the guts and strength to lead us all in the fight. Cruz’s strengths lie elsewhere. But we need him as well.
I agree with you on open borders. Almost as important as the Life issue. That’s why I want a candidate that is strong on both.
Cruz isn’t going to win the nomination.
That’s the biggest difference between Trump and Cruz.
That is simply not true. An employer must only show that the assigned salary for the applicant corresponds to salaries paid to US citizens. But the salary itself is always set by the employer.
What things?
Cruz is the candidate we have been waiting for since 1988. And now that he's here, he gets crucified by those who embrace a Democrat as well as his progressive policies instead. It makes me sick just watching it.
4 days and the Cruzaders will be hit by reality.
Cruz is a phony establishment hack.
Well looks like you are in for a whole lotta butt hurt come Tuesday night. LOL!
Sorry it has stuck in your craw so badly that is even hurts to admit that fact.
He will return us to our Christian-Judaeo foundations.
Bear in mind, that one does not need to be a devout Christian to believe in the superiority of Judeo-Christian societies. Even many atheists would acknowledge this.
Agreed. Churchill wasn’t devout, but he was a devoted defender of the Christian faith. That’s how I see Trump.
