Texas Sen. Ted Cruz kept attacking his rival Donald Trump after they faced off onstage at CNN's Republican presidential debate on Thursday night.
In an extended interview on Fox News, Cruz went after the Republican frontrunner.
"I think that what became very clear is that Donald Trump is not the right candidate to go head-to-head with Hillary Clinton in November," Cruz said. "That on policy issue after policy issue, his position is identical to Hillary."
Cruz cast Trump's policies as in line with those of "liberal Democrats." Trump has previously called himself a Democrat before running for the Republican presidential nomination.

I thought Cruz had a magnificent opportunity last night to wipe out identity politics and slam the division that has been created in this country when she asked him the very first question.
In fact, if he would have slammed her for it I would start leaning toward him....but alas, he is just another politician.

Good analysis on the brokered convention idea. I wonder if MConnell called Cruz and promised him if he would support Rubio that he would help him at the brokered conventional? Since Cruz fell for so many of McConnell’s other lies it is possible. More likely his donors called and said we will help you in your reelection bid but you have to help elevate Rubio. Otherwise, your money will dry up. The Free Labor and Free Trade Express donors have spoken and Cruz must obey.

I was SVP of California’s 7th largest corporation. It was customary to donate to both the rats and r’s. I can’t begin to tell you how much we gave Jerry Brown through the years. None of us respected Jerry but he always came through when we needed a favor. If you want to play, you must pay.

Agree. He’s still my number 2, but I think he damaged any chance of being VP by showing a sleazier side.
Makes one start to wonder if he fights the one man wars knowing it gets him attention, and also knowing its a losing battle, but does it to puff up his own standing.
