Read the comments. People tend to react poorly when cetain Cruz posters sole contribution to the thread is emotional personal attack and infantile attack snarks instead of a rational thoughtful commentary.

Throw verbal punches, people punch back. It is human nature.

His supporters decided to go after Trump supporters last November when they realized that Trump was not going to implode, and his message was better than Cruz’s and was resonating.

They lost. It’s a simple as that. Now they are in the final meltdown.

Modern politics dictates that you trash every candidate you do not support, even if you once supported and liked the candidate you are now trashing. We live in the world of Obama and Trump now.

I’ve NEVER bashed him even though I am now for Trump and have already voted for the ST primary in my state. My only criticism of him was his embracing Glenn Beck.

In fact, he was my first choice up until a couple-three months ago. I saw exactly the opposite that you are describing, and that is the reason I switched.

Because when Trump says he won every debate and every poll, will build a wall and will make America win win win again alot of people take him at his word.

In spite of any evidence the the contrary.

Wanting to be associated with a winner, when Trump says sic em, they go sic em.

If you weren't supporting Trump, would you support Cruz?

I don't know who I'd be supporting but it wouldn't be Cruz. I didn't support Ted Cruz from the get go because he is NOT electable. He appeals to the most conservative wing of the GOP and that's it. That's the extent of his appeal. He would get no support from blue collar democrats or from the middle of the road type independents. And you can't win with just one third of the GOP.

Cruz endorsing Rubio over Trump didn’t help matters.

The fact that some of his supporters wanted to prove they could be as big jerks as some of the Trump supporter certainly wrung the last bit of civility from the discussion. Neither side has helped their candidate. I almost voted for Elizabeth Gray but finally decided my vote might actually matter, and held my nose and voted for one of those two.

Revenge against the outlandish Cruzbots who are helping Hillary’s efforts against Trump.

Cruz isn’t evil, but he accepts evildoers on his team, as if he had no previous experience in management.

Give Cruz a few more years to mature and build some accomplishments, and Trumpsters might support him when it’s his turn.

Your guy in an interview last night after the debate said he'd support Rubio over Cruz. That should tell you everything you need to know, why as the campaigned progressed, people were seeing through Cruz, some earlier than others.

How can you support a person who supposedly wants to stop the invasion of the US, but prefers Rubio over Trump?

The longer Cruz is in it the more his true colors are showing. Cruz is the GOPe conservative click bait. He talks a good game but actually accomplishes nothing except getting more conservatives to vote for and donate to the Republican party which then goes and does whatever it wants. Cruz might be sincere about his conservatism. He might be earnest. But he has absolutely no skills, personality or leadership to actually accomplish anything which is why they keep him around.

I like some of Cruz’s current positions better—such as no touchback amnesty. And some of Trump’s better, such as his tax plan. ANd they are both miles ahead of Rubio.

But Cruz has been slippery on both illegal immigration and TPP/TPA, as well as in some of his campaign practices Supporting Rubio over Trump is over the edge, re-enforcing doubts that people have really had as to how honestly outside the Establishment he ultimately is.

I wish Trump and Cruz had continued their early detente, with Cruz the natural to be #2 to Trump. But that didn’t happen, and when they started swiping at each other, I think that revved up some Freepers. And, honestly, I think Cruz supporters have been the more obnoxious here—so now maybe they are reaping what they have sown.
