Are Freepers Headed to a Divorce?
2/20/2016 | Self

The divide between Freeper's in the Trump vs. Cruz battle is more heated than I recall any other divide of Freerepublic. Just about every thread immediately devolves to a nasty fight that carries from one thread to another.

I think we need to be careful with each other because both camps need each other after the primary. Can we just agree to disagree and move on? We have more in common with each other than not.

whom ever the dems put up, likely Biden, as Bernie is just too far for the dem party bosses to go!

Bernie fully embodies the deepest desires of the democrat party bosses.

The vitriol was just as loud four years ago. The difference this time is that the supporters in all camps seem a lot dumber.

It’s not just “The divide between Freeper’s in the Trump vs. Cruz” ... anyone who says anything about DJT is subject to flames regardless of the person’s candidate of choice. Trumpeters reflect their idol (not just a candidate) ... and tyranny is not far behind.

I think that all this “vim and vinegar” is good. I think the more ridiculous it becomes the more likely we will discover the truth.

For all those who are restless, irritable and discontented, I have a solution.

And the answer is.....?

LOL is that because

A. we’re losing IQ points due to aging for existing posters

B. we’re losing the higher IQ posters

c. we’re bringing in lower IQ posters

d. all the above

If you've ever had to settle an argument between first-graders, you'll know the scene.

Sadly, that is true of politics at every level, from local dogcatcher to world leaders.

The world won't even be a much safer place when they all start squabbling like teenagers. *sigh*

“If you had your say on a topic in a previous thread consider whether its necessary to keep repeating the same thing again and again especially when its against another. “

You used to do it on the anti-smoking threads.

Why is this different?

Oh please....trump supporters have been calling Cruz a a nasty, liar, Ineligable and vote stealer. None of which are true. Trump is a fraud which is easily provable by his past statements.

I agree. The influx of “New York Values” Republicans is sickening.

Great post. I will vote for whom ever the Republican nominee is. Any of the current six are far better than Hillary or Boini or any other Democrat. I’d rather not hold my nose though but I will. Giving in to any Democrat will destroy this country. It could be said it has already been mortally wounded though!

There it is bro — The next candidate I follow will be the one with only real message of change — “Time to burn it all down, start over and dream another dream, this dream is over.”

The primary and political threads are pretty much comedy for me at this point — sound and fury, signifying nothing. A never ending and pointless debate about how to arrange the deck chairs on a capsizing ship.

I am just trying to grasp how worked up people can get for a process that means next to nothing at this point. In a way, this forum is a prop on the stage of the Kabuki Theater that is US politics.
